Nghe An Tax Department ranks first nationwide in the information technology readiness index.

(Baonghean.vn) - In 2016, the Nghe An Tax Department was ranked first in the IT application readiness index.(ICT Index).

This information was provided by Mr. Vuong Dinh Chinh, Head of the Propaganda and Taxpayer Support Department of the Nghe An Tax Department, on November 3rd.

The Nghe An Provincial Tax Department, which was ranked tenth in 2015, has risen to first place this year; second place belongs to the Hau Giang Provincial Tax Department and third place belongs to the Cao Bang Provincial Tax Department.

The Department of Information Technology and Financial Statistics is a unit under the Ministry of Finance, with the function of advising and assisting the Minister of Finance in performing state management tasks and organizing the implementation of IT and statistical applications throughout the entire financial sector.

The Vietnam ICT Index (Information and Communication Technology Index) is one of the tools used by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Informatics Association to assess and rank the readiness for ICT application and development in Vietnam.

Since 2008, the Department of Information Technology and Financial Statistics has submitted to the Ministry of Finance leadership and assigned the eFinance Magazine to develop the annual ICT Index for the finance sector. It has also directly provided annual data for the development of Vietnam's ICT Index, carried out by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Informatics Association.
