Nghe An Tax Department launches emulation campaign for 2017

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 28th, the Tax Department held a conference for civil servants and employees, launching the emulation movement for 2017. Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Tax Department, chaired the conference.

The conference heard reports on the work in 2016, reports on the implementation of the Regulations on Democracy, reports on the work of the People's Inspection Committee, and reports on the public disclosure of the agency's finances in 2016.

Last year, however, the socio-economic situation in the province faced many difficulties due to complex weather patterns, especially the prolonged drought; marine environmental pollution in Central Vietnam… affecting the production and lives of people and businesses. Nevertheless, under the direction of the General Department of Taxation, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department, the Nghe An Tax Department successfully and comprehensively fulfilled its assigned tasks.

Total domestic revenue for the year 2016 is estimated at VND 9,600 billion, equivalent to 118% of the Ordinance's projected target, 107% of the Provincial People's Council's projected target, and 125% compared to the same period last year. Of this, domestic revenue (excluding land use fees) reached VND 7,700 billion, equivalent to 103% of the Ordinance's projected target, 103% of the Provincial People's Council's projected target, and 116% compared to the same period in 2015. Within this, revenue collected at the Department's Office is estimated at VND 4,900 billion, equivalent to 100% of the projected target and a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.

Comrade Dao Thi Thanh Mai - Vice President of the Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union - highly appreciated and congratulated the achievements of the Tax Department's emulation movements in 2016.

At the same time, the Office of the Department successfully completed and exceeded the targets assigned by the General Department of Taxation regarding debt collection, inspection, internal audit, tax return filing, online tax declaration, and administrative procedure reform. Practical and effective activities were implemented to care for the rights and interests of civil servants and employees, and social activities were successfully organized and carried out. Last year, the unit's Party Committee achieved the status of exemplary, clean, and strong. Veterans, union members, and the trade union also received excellent ratings.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hoa - Director of the Nghe An Tax Department - acknowledged the opinions of the officials and employees, clarified some issues related to the implementation of political tasks, and encouraged the entire staff to strive to excellently complete the 2017 plan.

The conference also launched the 2017 emulation campaign to strive to complete the annual budget revenue plan of 10,630 billion VND and voted on the proposed targets.
