What is the most auspicious time to offer sacrifices to the Kitchen God this year?
According to Vietnamese tradition, every year on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month, every household performs a ritual to worship the Kitchen God and send him off to heaven. However, not everyone knows which day and time is most auspicious for worshipping the Kitchen God according to feng shui principles for each year.

According to feng shui experts, there are three auspicious days in the twelfth lunar month of 2018 for worshipping the Kitchen God.
The best day to perform the Kitchen God worship ceremony is the 22nd day of the 12th lunar month (the day of Canh Ngo) because that day coincides with the beginning of spring, making it very suitable for the ceremony.
The best time to offer sacrifices on this day is at noon (11 AM - 1 PM) or at the hour of the Goat (1 PM - 3 PM). However, people born in the year of the Rat should absolutely not offer sacrifices to the Kitchen God on this day.
The second best day to worship the Kitchen God is the 20th day of the 12th lunar month (the day of Mậu Thìn). On this day, the homeowner should make the offering between 9 and 11 am (Tỵ hour) or between 1 and 3 pm (Mùi hour). However, those born in the year of the Dog should not make the offering on this day.
The last suitable day to offer sacrifices to the Kitchen God this year is the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month. Anyone can perform this ritual on this day. However, one thing to note when offering sacrifices on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month is that it must be completed before 12 noon.
The Kitchen God worship ceremony must be performed before the Kitchen God flies back to heaven to report to the Jade Emperor, which is before 12 noon on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month.
Therefore, depending on the time constraints of each household, the Kitchen God offering can be made one day in advance, that is, at noon or evening on the 22nd day of the 12th lunar month, or in the morning of the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month.
The Kitchen God will report to the Jade Emperor about the business dealings and conduct of each family in the mortal world.
