Given the reality that many people are still struggling to make a living or suffering from the effects of economic fluctuations or natural disasters, joining hands to share love not only helps them overcome difficulties, but also provides an opportunity for each person to share and spread good deeds and positive things in life.

As a mother with school-aged children, Ms. Thu Hang (42 years old, Hanoi) - a Prudential customer and participant in Prudential's charitable activities - shared her desire to contribute to spreading love to those in need, especially children. She said: “Sometimes we know about difficult situations that require help, but the hustle and bustle of daily life sweeps us along too quickly. Participating in Prudential Vietnam's charitable activities is a bridge that allows customers like me to slow down a bit, to share and help those less fortunate in society.”

With the spirit of "Need it, we're here," over the years, in addition to investing in long-term projects to equip primary school students with essential knowledge and skills in finance and traffic safety, Prudential has also stood alongside and supported disadvantaged people in localities severely affected by natural disasters and floods. Particularly noteworthy is the "Rice Support - Sharing Love" program, with its mission to continue spreading love and demonstrating a spirit of mutual support towards the community. Implemented every Lunar New Year, the program has encouraged and shared the difficulties, bringing many warm and humane New Year celebrations to people across the country.

The "Rice Support - Sharing Love 2024" program

Currently, through the "Rice Support - Giving Love 2024" program, established as a "Social Welfare Bank," Prudential is calling for the collective efforts of its customers to donate welfare packages including rice and essential goods to people in extremely difficult circumstances in Mu Cang Chai district (Yen Bai province) and My Xuyen district (Soc Trang province). These are two of the many localities severely affected by recent floods.

In Mu Cang Chai district, flash floods and landslides in August killed three people and caused nearly 20 billion VND in damage to this poor mountainous district. Meanwhile, My Xuyen district, a disadvantaged area in Soc Trang province with over 30% Khmer ethnic minority population, also suffered heavy rains and tornadoes that caused 47 houses to collapse or have their roofs blown off, 13 of which were completely destroyed.

The people in these districts have not only lost their homes and crops but also bear the heavy burden of damage from the floods, not to mention the loss of lives. For them, the immediate concerns remain the worry of food and clothing, and finding new housing...

With a simple process, Prudential customers who are PRURewards members can contribute their PRURewards points to the Social Welfare Bank. From the total number of points contributed by members, the program will convert them into an equivalent number of social welfare packages. Through Prudential, these social welfare packages will be distributed to people in difficult circumstances in the two aforementioned districts during the upcoming Lunar New Year 2024.

This is not the first time Prudential has brought a meaningful program to its PRURewards members. Previously, in 2022, in response to Prudential's philanthropic activities, Prudential customers actively participated in the "Together with Prudential - Donating Standard Helmets to Students" program. 1,500 PRURewards members contributed reward points to redeem over 1,200 standard helmets, backpacks, and traffic safety game books in just over two months. These gifts, contributed by Prudential customers, will be given to elementary school students in Gia Lai province this coming November.

Looking back at the period from 2020-2022, Prudential's "Rice Support - Giving Love" campaign distributed 8,400 welfare packages containing rice and essential goods, with a budget of nearly 2.6 billion VND, to disadvantaged households in 14 provinces and cities.

This time, Prudential hopes that each welfare package contributed by customers will be a piece of love and compassion on Prudential's journey to spread good through many practical activities for the sustainable development of the community.
