A July 'date' with the folk songs and dances of Nghe Tinh in the capital city.
(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, the Nghe Tinh Folk Song Club in Hanoi held a meeting and exchange between generations who share a love for the folk songs of their homeland.
Once a month,Nghe Tinh Folk Song ClubRegular activities are held in Hanoi, the capital city. With a passionate love for folk songs and melodies, the people of Nghe An express their feelings for their homeland through these tunes and new compositions. They see this as a way to express their love and longing for their homeland through the cultural heritage of their ancestors.

The folk songs and melodies flowed through the rather simple performance space... yet they brought each member closer together and deepened their love for Nghe An province. This special July "rendezvous" not only captivated Hanoi residents with the sweet and heartfelt voices of the artisans and members of the Club, but also featured talented young artists such as: Artist Duy Cuong - Doctor of Philosophy, lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, winner of the 2018 Bolero Idol program; Singer Ha Quynh Nhu, winner of the 2018 The Voice Kids Vietnam program…

“For over 10 years, the Club has always strived to preserve and promote the folk songs of Nghe Tinh in Thang Long - Dong Do - Hanoi. Along with that, we try to find talented and dedicated individuals from Nghe An to continue the tradition of these folk songs passed down from our ancestors. We are delighted to see such talented singers like Duy Cuong and Ha Quynh Nhu standing on this stage today. Therefore, we are confident and believe in the love, passion, and responsibility of these young people towards the cultural heritage of our homeland,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Head of the Nghe Tinh Folk Song Club in Hanoi, expressing her emotion.
