The 'Fate with China 2025' contest officially launched
VTV Times and the Chinese Cultural Center in Hanoi launched a writing and storytelling contest to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations.
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - China diplomatic relations (2025) and the "Vietnam - China Humanitarian Exchange Year", VTV Times in collaboration with the Chinese Cultural Center in Hanoi officially launched a writing and storytelling contest with the theme "My relationship with China".
The contest is a meaningful activity to enhance understanding, strengthen ties and promote cultural exchange between the people of the two countries. The Organizing Committee will accept entries from November 11 to November 30, 2025. The closing and award ceremony is expected to take place in December 2025.

Two main creative themes
The contest is implemented with two independent but complementary themes, harmoniously combining personal perspectives and contemporary issues.
Topic 1: "Warm moments in my journey to meet China"
The content focuses on the personal emotional connection with Chinese culture, history and people, recreating sincere memories during the exchange between the two peoples. Some suggestions for the work:
- Opportunity to be attached to Chinese culture (learning Chinese, tea ceremony, Tai Chi...).
- Experience cooperation or friendship with Chinese people.
- Memorable memories of studying, working and traveling in China.
- Impressions of Vietnam - China cultural exchange activities.
Topic 2: "China's modernization through my lens"
This theme encourages works that reflect China's development achievements and bilateral cooperation results, and explain China's unique modernization path from a Vietnamese perspective. Suggested content:
- Inspired by China's modern science, technology and infrastructure.
- Cooperation projects on green energy and environmental technology.
- Observations on the digital economy and changes in daily life (food, housing, transportation...).
- Personal experience of the convenience brought by technology.

Contest subjects and categories
The contest welcomes the participation of the Vietnamese public, including:
- Friendship personalities, Sinology scholars, businessmen, young innovators, Vietnamese-Chinese families.
- Vietnamese people love Chinese culture.
- Students majoring in related fields such as Chinese, international relations.
- Vietnamese people who have studied, worked or traveled in China.
- People who have participated in "One Belt - One Road" cooperation projects.
Entries can be presented in three main categories:
- Document:Short articles (800 - 1,500 words) or poems (priority given to bilingual Vietnamese - Chinese).
- Image:Short video (under 3 minutes, with subtitles) or photo (with 100-200 word description).
- Artwork:Calligraphy, painting and original works of art (with description of ideas).
Rules and submission method
Contestants can choose one or both themes to participate, each theme sends a separate work. The works must ensure originality, not violate copyright and Vietnamese customs.

Prizes are awarded independently for each topic, including cash and Vietnamese-Chinese bilingual certificates.
