The captivating bougainvillea 'climbing' on trellises displays its beauty in gardens in Nghe An.

In early summer, in many placesgarden houses in Nghe AnBougainvillea is blooming profusely in abundance. Besides small potted bougainvillea plants priced from 100,000 VND, there are also large potted bougainvillea plants, expertly crafted by nurseries and grown on iron trellises, costing tens of millions of VND.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuan in the communeNghi An(Vinh City) reported: Bougainvillea is a sun-loving flower, so it blooms even more profusely in this weather. The flowers come in many colors, from white, yellow, pink, to red. It's even possible to graft multiple colors together on the same stem.

According to Ms. Thuan, for more than a year now, there has been a trend of growing bougainvillea in large pots, framed in iron domes or with long iron arms. Despite the high price, it still attracts a lot of attention from bonsai enthusiasts.

Bougainvillea is a very easy-to-care-for flower, can be grown from cuttings, and is suitable for areas with hot weather, because the more sun it gets, the more flowers it produces. However, it takes a considerable amount of time to grow a large, branched vine.

Bougainvillea climbing on iron trellises is usually purchased by gardeners from large bougainvillea bushes from various locations, then fixed onto an iron frame in an arch shape for the plant to climb. Each potted bougainvillea climbing a metal trellis costs between 10 million and 30 or 50 million VND, depending on the length of the trellis and the age of the plant.

Some flower trellises, some decades old, with colorful flowers and long, massive iron frames, can cost hundreds of millions of dong.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, residing in Kim Chi hamlet, Nghi An commune (Vinh City), said that bougainvillea plants grown on iron trellises are often purchased by customers to place in corners or on either side of villa gates; some people buy them to decorate eco-tourism or spiritual sites. Because the plants are large, moving them requires specialized vehicles and cranes.

Typically, the price of each bougainvillea climbing plant on a metal trellis includes transportation and initial care. However, for areas far from Vinh City, buyers will have to bear additional transportation costs. Despite this, many large potted bougainvillea plants are still sold daily by nurseries in Vinh City.
