Former SLNA U21 captain joins Pho Hien Club.
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to not being in SLNA's plans for the upcoming season, striker Pham Duc Thong has decided to join Pho Hien Club on a two-year contract.
This news came as quite a surprise to football fans in Nghe An province, as Pham Duc Thong had just had a successful season with Pho Hien Club, on loan from SLNA.
Wearing the Hung Yen team's jersey, Pham Duc Thong scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in the 2019 First Division league. Pham Duc Thong played a significant role in helping Coach Hua Hien Vinh's team secure a place in the play-off match against Thanh Hoa FC.

It was thought that, given Pham Duc Thong's noticeable progress recently, the Nghe An team would give him a chance to prove his talent in the 2020 season. However, instead of offering Pham Duc Thong a professional contract, SLNA decided to let the 22-year-old striker leave freely (his youth training contract had expired). The next destination for the former U21 SLNA captain (2018) is Pho Hien FC, the team Pham Duc Thong played for last season.
