Former US intelligence officer reveals plans to attack Russia after Euromaidan in Ukraine

"Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland did not want any diplomacy from the beginning, she was involved in covert operations in Ukraine to destabilize Russia. Now, when we talk about how this war started, we understand that this war started because Nuland wanted it to happen. The war started to weaken Russia and destroy its economy," said former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
It was for these purposes, Mr. Ritter recalls, that the coup in Kiev in 2014 was initiated. And then CIA bases were established throughout Ukraine. According to Ritter, 12 bases of the US intelligence agency were believed to have the effect of destabilizing Russia.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin repeatedly stated that a special military operation would not take place in Ukraine if there were no coup. The Russian leader noted that for many years NATO has been expanding its infrastructure on the territory of the neighboring country, turning it into a hostile “anti-Russian” state.
Therefore, to prevent the creation of such a military bridgehead, Russia is conducting a special campaign to demilitarize Ukraine./.
