Saving a young man who jumped off Cua Hoi bridge at noon
Fishermen fishing near Cua Hoi bridge discovered a young man jumping off the bridge and rowed a boat to rescue him.
At around noon on March 22, some passersby passing by Cua Hoi Bridge across Lam River connecting Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces saw a young man riding a motorbike and stopping in the middle of the bridge, acting strangely.
A few minutes later, the young man jumped off the bridge with the intention of committing suicide. Because the incident happened so quickly, many people did not have time to intervene. At the same time, some fishing boats near Cua Hoi Bridge discovered the incident and quickly rowed their boats to the rescue.
The young man was then brought to shore in a state of panic. Locals gave him a coat to keep him warm, advised him not to do anything stupid, and reported it to the authorities and contacted his family.
According to information, a young man about 28 years old, from Dien Chau district (Nghe An) "out of boredom" drove to Cua Hoi bridge to commit suicide.
