Former goalkeeper Vo Van Hanh, who rose to fame at SLNA, has decided to leave Phu Dong Ninh Binh after two seasons with the club.

At the beginning of the 2023 season, Vo Van Hanh decided to move to work for Phu Dong Ninh Binh.

Over the past two seasons (2023 - 2024), the former goalkeeper from Phu Yen has performed his duties well, making a significant contribution to helping Phu Dong Ninh Binh finish in 7th and 5th place respectively in the National First Division League.

However, seeking a new challenge, Vo Van Hanh bid farewell to Phu Dong Ninh Binh just before the 2024/2025 season. It is understood that the former goalkeeper, born in 1974, is being contacted by several other teams.

Before becoming the "assistant" to coach Nguyen Van Dan at Phu Dong Ninh Binh, Vo Van Hanh had previously served as a goalkeeping coach at Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City Club, Vietnam U19 team, and the Vietnam national team.

During his professional career, Vo Van Hanh was the number one goalkeeper for Song Lam Nghe An (1999 - 2002), Hoang Anh Gia Lai (2002 - 2005), SHB Da Nang (2005 - 2010) and Khatoco Khanh Hoa (2010 - 2012).

Having played football for over a decade, Vo Van Hanh has amassed numerous titles, including the V.League championship, the National Cup, and the National Super Cup – all while playing for Song Lam Nghe An, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, and SHB Da Nang.

It can be confidently stated that Song Lam Nghe An is the team that made Vo Van Hanh's name. Don't forget, the coaching staff of the Nghe An team discovered Vo Van Hanh's talent during a training camp in Phu Yen.

Thanks to his outstanding performances for Song Lam Nghe An, Vo Van Hanh was called up to the Vietnam National Team to participate in the AFF Cup 2022, and also won the Vietnam Golden Ball award in 2001 (the first goalkeeper to receive this award).

Hopefully, the former Song Lam Nghe An goalkeeper will continue to achieve success in the future, just like the nickname Vietnamese football fans once gave him: "King Midas" - everything he touches turns to gold.
