Former SLNA striker officially plays for Hue Football Club

Before joining Hue Football Club, the striker born in 1991 had gone through a trial period at Phu Dong Club and Binh Dinh Club. It was thought that this season, Truong Van Thanh would wear the shirt of the team from the land of Vo when the two sides had found a common voice. However, the fact that the Quy Nhon team could not find a sponsor was the reason why Truong Van Thanh changed his decision.

With the green light from the Binh Dinh Club's Board of Directors to find a new destination, the 28-year-old striker contacted Hue Football Club. And after just a few trial sessions, Truong Van Thanh was retained by the Tu Do Stadium coaching staff to participate in the 2019 season. Thus, Hue Football Club is the 4th team that the player born in 1991 has joined, after SLNA (2014 - 2015), Phu Yen (2016) and XSKT Can Tho (2017).

In the registration list for the 2019 season of Hue Football Club, Truong Van Thanh is the only player who has played for SLNA. More than 3 months ago, the Tu Do Stadium team welcomed Nguyen Viet Nguyen, Bui Duc Manh and Ho Trong Vang (on the payroll of SLNA) for a trial. Unfortunately, what the 3 players above have shown did not "catch the eye" of coach Phan Van Tri and his colleagues.

The first match of Hue Football Club this season is the match against Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club in the preliminary round of the 2019 National Cup. With the main striker Tran Thanh not fully recovered from his injury, it is likely that Truong Van Thanh will be used by Coach Phan Van Tri from the beginning to play alongside U23 Vietnam player - Tran Danh Trung in the attack of the Co Do team.
