Former Song Lam Nghe An midfielder leads Becamex Binh Duong.
After parting ways with coach Hoang Anh Tuan, Becamex Binh Duong appointed assistant coach Nguyen Cong Manh to the "head coach" position.
During his playing career, coach Nguyen Cong Manh played as an attacking midfielder and wore jerseys for other clubs.Lam River, Nghe An, Hoa Phat Hanoi and Binh Dinh. Overall, the playing career of the strategist from Vinh City, Nghe An province, has been quite turbulent.
Nevertheless, coach Nguyen Cong Manh has achieved considerable success in his new role. According to his colleagues, the former Song Lam Nghe An midfielder is a highly qualified coach, eager to learn, and possesses a progressive spirit.
Before joining the Becamex Binh Duong coaching staff (July 2024), coach Nguyen Cong Manh previously worked as an assistant coach for coaches Pham Minh Duc and Nguyen Thanh Cong in Hanoi and Hong Linh Ha Tinh.
Notably, the strategist born in 1982 is also a valuable assistant to coach Hoang Anh Tuan at the Vietnam U23 team. This is why coach Nguyen Cong Manh is part of the Becamex Binh Duong coaching staff.
Currently, coach Nguyen Cong Manh holds the PRO coaching certificate issued by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Clearly, Becamex Binh Duong has grounds to entrust the reins to the former Song Lam Nghe An midfielder during this difficult time.
It can be affirmed that the immediate task facing coach Nguyen Cong Manh at the Binh Duong team is extremely challenging. After 9 rounds of the V.League 2024/2025, Becamex Binh Duong has only managed to secure a mere 11 points and is currently in 8th place.
