Former Song Lam Nghe An midfielder becomes Hoa Binh's 'assistant'
(Baonghean.vn) - Just before the start of the 2023/2024 season, First Division team Hoa Binh appointed Ho Thanh Thuong to its coaching staff.
Reportedly, the contract between the former midfielder, born in 1981 in Vinh City, and the team from the Northwest region is for one year. Therefore, Ho Thanh Thuong will take on the role of assistant coach to Pham Thanh Luong, a former midfielder of the Vietnam National Team.

After his adventures at Hanoi ACB, Hanoi Club, Quang Nam, and V&V United, Ho Thanh Thuong decided to retire from playing football at the end of 2010. After resting for a while, Ho Thanh Thuong joined the T&T-VSH Youth Football Training Center.
For over a decade, the former Vietnam U23 player has remained dedicated to coaching. Currently, some of Ho Thanh Thuong's former pupils are playing in the V.League, including Nguyen Van Cong and Ngan Van Dai (Quang Nam) and Nguyen Huu Son (Hai Phong)...
In particular, in 2019, Ho Thanh Thuong and his colleague Van Sy Linh were "assigned" to lead the Tuan Tu Phu Tho team in the National Third Division. Under the guidance of "captain" Ho Thanh Thuong and "first mate" Van Sy Linh, the team from the "ancestral land" secured promotion.
