Will former President Park Geun-hye be arrested?
South Korean prosecutors said on March 27 that they are seeking an arrest warrant for former President Park Geun-hye.
According to a statement from the South Korean Prosecutor's Office, prosecutors have gathered a large amount of evidence regarding the charges against Park Geun-hye. However, to date, Park has denied the accusations.

The South Korean Prosecutors' Office asserted that it would be unfair not to issue an arrest warrant for former President Park Geun-hye when her accomplices, such as Choi Soon-sil, and other government officials who acted on her instructions, have already been arrested.
Park Geun-hye, 65, was the first democratically elected president in South Korea to be removed from office when the Constitutional Court recently upheld the impeachment decision of the South Korean National Assembly in December 2016.
Ms. Park is facing numerous charges, including abuse of power and coercion to bribe. She is also accused of colluding with her close friend Choi Soon-sil to force South Korean corporations to donate large sums of money to funds managed by Choi in exchange for business favors.
