The man who murdered his wife and then posted on Facebook saying he missed her has been arrested.

On March 31st, the Binh Duong Provincial Police confirmed that Nguyen Huu Nam (42 years old, residing in Thanh Hoa), the suspect who allegedly used a hammer to kill his wife, had been arrested after more than a month and a half on the run. Nam was reportedly apprehended in Ho Chi Minh City on March 30th.

As previously reported, Nam is suspected of using a hammer to strike Nguyen Thi Thu Trang (36 years old, residing in Binh Duong) on ​​the head, causing her death.

Earlier, late on February 13th, Nam called a friend saying he had hit Trang with a hammer and asked the friend to check if she was still alive or dead. If she was still alive, he asked the friend to take her to the hospital; if she was dead, he asked the friend to tell him so he could commit suicide.

Upon arriving at the scene, the friend was horrified to discover Trang dead on the floor with multiple bloodstains on her head, and a blood-stained hammer beside her.

Upon receiving the report, the Binh Duong Provincial Police Investigation Agency quickly conducted a scene examination and launched an investigation into the case. Meanwhile, Nam fled.

While in hiding, Nam wrote on Facebook, "I miss my wife," and "Now I'm going to follow my wife."

The victim's family said that while Nam was on the run, he posted a picture of himself and the victim on his personal Facebook page along with the caption: "Missing my wife Trang, now I'm going to follow her."

Reportedly, Nam and Trang lived together as husband and wife since October 2018. During their time together, they frequently argued because Nam was unreasonably jealous and often abusive.

Many times, out of fear, Ms. Trang had to flee to other places. On February 13th, Ms. Trang returned and was murdered. Nam had been married before and had a criminal record.
