Notably, up to this point, among the candidates registering for the combined subject exam, the number of candidates registering for the social science exam does not differ significantly from the number of candidates registering for the natural science exam.

Currently, about 40% of candidates are registering for the social science exam, 50% are registering for the natural science exam, and about 10% are registering for both exams.

Also on April 4th, the Ministry of Education and Training officially announced the information system to support the 2017 examination and admissions process.

Accordingly, the system will assist candidates in registering for the national high school graduation exam at the following email address:[email protected], and support for registration for admission to regular university programs and regular teacher training colleges can be sent to the following email address:[email protected]Email support will be available continuously from April 1st to August 15th, 2017.

The Ministry of Education and Training has also arranged a permanent department to support candidates registering for the exam and applying for admission through two phone numbers (during office hours): (04)32181385, (04)32181386. Support via phone will be implemented in two phases: phase 1 from April 1st to April 20th, phase 2 from June 20th to July 14th.

Skipping the registered subject combination exam: will result in not being considered for graduation.

During a press briefing on April 4th, Mr. Tran Van Nghia, Deputy Director of the Department of Examination and Quality Assurance of Education, Ministry of Education and Training, noted that if candidates skip the registered combined subject exam, they will not be considered for graduation.

According to the regulations for the national high school graduation exam and the recognition of high school graduation, to be considered for high school graduation, candidates must take three compulsory exams: mathematics, literature, and a foreign language, and choose one of two combined exams: natural sciences or social sciences; candidates can register to take both combined exams; the higher score will be used for consideration of high school graduation.

However, for candidates who have not yet graduated from high school, if they have registered for a combined subject exam, they must take all the component subjects of that exam. Failure to take all the exams will be considered as abandoning the registered exam for graduation consideration, and they will not be eligible for graduation.

Therefore, if a candidate has registered for both combined subject exams, they must take both exams in full.
