Gunfire has been heard in Venezuela's capital, Caracas.
Gunfire erupted in the streets of Caracas during the protests, Sputnik correspondent reported.

The day before, Venezuela had held a presidential election; the current head of state, Nicolas Maduro, won. Following this, protests began in the capital Caracas, with clashes between police and demonstrators.
Several shots were fired, causing many residents to try to escape from the open areas in the streets.
