Diversify information channels in Front work

On the morning of August 6, the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held the 2nd Conference - the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XIV, 2019 - 2024, to evaluate the implementation of Front work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2019.

Organized 320 surveillances

In the first 6 months of 2019, promoting the role of gathering the great national unity bloc, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels continued to play a core role in propagating and mobilizing people of all walks of life to implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State as well as programs and campaigns launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Attention has been paid to dialogue activities between Party committees, district and grassroots authorities with the people. In the first 6 months of the year, 543 dialogues were organized at the commune, block, hamlet and village levels and 29 dialogues at the district level. The dialogues focused mainly on the following issues: land settlement and site clearance, policies and regimes, administrative reform, etc.

The district and grassroots Fatherland Front Committees organized 320 supervision sessions and 355 social feedback sessions.

In addition to the achievements, delegates focused on analyzing the shortcomings and limitations. The emulation movements chaired and launched by the Fatherland Front at all levels have created excitement, attracting the participation of many classes of people.

However, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Vo Thi Minh Sinh pointed out that the campaigns are still general, the movements have not closely followed the campaign results; charity and volunteer groups have not been gathered, and have not been connected to form a large force of the front; the responsibility of the Front in replicating good models and good examples is still limited.

Or in social supervision and criticism, which is considered a "deep" field of the Front's work, the "brainpower" of committee members and experts in all fields has not been fully utilized. In addition, there is no data system for voters' opinions and recommendations, nor has it closely followed the process of responding to those recommendations by relevant levels and sectors.

Diversify information channels

Orienting the activities of the Front in the last 6 months of 2019, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has proposed 26 key groups of solutions, focusing on improving the effectiveness of propaganda, mobilization, gathering people of all walks of life, consolidating and promoting the strength of great national unity; promoting democracy, representation, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; supervising and providing social criticism, participating in building a strong Party and government; continuing to expand and improve the effectiveness and quality of people's foreign affairs activities; perfecting mechanisms, improving the operational capacity of the Front system to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period.

In order to improve the quality of propaganda, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Vo Thi Minh Sinh requested the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to diversify information channels; establish, manage and effectively exploit social networking sites such as the Front's Facebook, thereby focusing on propaganda, especially building operating regulations on social networking sites, proactively grasping the situation, thoughts and aspirations of the people, and orienting public opinion.

The conference reviewed and commented on the drafts: Regulations on the operation of the Committee, the Standing Committee of the 14th term; Work program of the entire term of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the 14th term; Plan to launch the contest "Proposing initiatives and solutions to innovate the content and methods of activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels" and decided on a number of other important contents.

Launch the contest"Creative suggestions on innovation in content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front at all levels in Nghe An province" from September 2019 to May 19, 2020.

The contest aims to propagate and raise awareness among all classes of people about the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; connect and promote creative emulation movements of member organizations, build a data system of new initiatives and ideas, gradually apply them into practical activities, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of the work of the Front at all levels in the current period.

The Organizing Committee will award 1 First prize; 2 Second prizes; 3 Third prizes and 10 Consolation prizes.

The winners of the contest will be proposed by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province to the Department of Science and Technology to issue certificates of innovation. The products, initiatives and creative ideas will be widely introduced by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province on mass media and applied to the practical activities of the Front.
