(Baonghean.vn) - Built in 1973-1974 with the support of the Federal Republic of Germany, Vinh Stadium now sports a "new look," more eye-catching but still retaining its original architectural foundation.
Located at 6 Dao Tan Street, Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City, Vinh Stadium is the home ground of Song Lam Nghe An FC, with a capacity of 18,000 to 20,000 seats. This is one of the most traditional teams still competing in the V.League, having won 38 major and minor championships. Since 1986, Vinh Stadium has never witnessed SLNA being relegated from the highest level of Vietnamese football. Photo: Trung Ha

When the first V.League season (2000-2001) began, Vinh Stadium was renovated and considered a "project of the century". In 2016, approximately 6,000 seats were selected for installation in Stand B of Vinh Stadium. Since its construction in 1973-1974, this was the first time Vinh Stadium had undergone such a large-scale renovation costing up to 10 billion VND. During periods when no matches were being played, the seats were covered with protective netting. Photo: Trung Ha
