According to Mr. Le Anh, Da Nang is a tourist city, therefore any issue related to tourists is prioritized for prompt, empathetic, and reasonable handling.
"We must always be welcoming and enthusiastic in receiving information from tourists. The police also need to engage in tourism to contribute to building the tourism brand of Da Nang City," Mr. Anh said.
On the morning of November 4th, the Hai Chau District Police handed over approximately 1.8 million won and nearly 600 USD to Ms. Lee Kyung Sooe (30 years old, South Korean nationality) and her husband.
Upon receiving the money back, Ms. Lee Kyung Sooe expressed her gratitude for the enthusiastic efforts of the Hai Chau District Police (Da Nang) in recovering the money that she and her husband had used for their honeymoon in Da Nang within just a few hours.
According to the police, on November 2nd, Lee Kyung Sooe and her husband arrived at Da Nang airport and took a tour bus to their hotel on Pham Van Dong Street, then to the Novotel hotel. Afterward, they discovered that a wallet containing approximately 1.8 million won and nearly 600 USD was missing.
The couple immediately reported the incident to the hotel security, who then notified the Thach Thang Ward Police (Hai Chau District, Da Nang). A few hours later, the police found the driver, M. (residing in Hoa Xuan, Da Nang), and recovered the property for the tourists.
On the morning of November 4th, the People's Committee of Hai Chau District awarded the Thach Thang Ward Police a bonus of 10 million VND.
