The death sentence for prisoner Nguyen Hai Duong has been carried out.

On the morning of November 17, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tri, Chief Justice of the People's Court of Binh Phuoc province, announced that the authorities had completed the execution of death row inmate Nguyen Hai Duong (from An Giang province, who committed the massacre of six members of a family in Binh Phuoc).

Accordingly, the Execution Council transferred the condemned man from the prison in Binh Phuoc to a prison under the Ministry of Public Security located in Binh Duong province. There, Nguyen Hai Duong was taken to the execution chamber to be given lethal injection.

Upon completion of the execution, the execution council carries out the necessary procedures to prepare the body of the condemned prisoner for handover to the family.

Mr. Tri said the execution was scheduled for 6 a.m. that same day. After about an hour, everything was completed.

In July 2015, Nguyen Hai Duong (from An Giang province) and Vu Van Tien murdered six members of the Le Van My family (residents of Minh Hung commune, Chon Thanh district, Binh Phuoc province).

According to the case details, on the morning of July 5, 2015, Duong and Tran Dinh Thoai went to Mr. My's house with the intention of murdering him and robbing him, but failed. Afterward, Thoai did not go with Duong but still bought a knife to help him commit the crime.

In the early morning of July 7, 2015, Duong and Tien traveled from Hoc Mon to Binh Phuoc, then broke into Mr. My's villa and held six victims hostage while Duong murdered them. After committing the crime, the two also stole money and some assets worth nearly 50 million VND.

Duong confessed that he committed the murders of six members of Mr. My's family as revenge for being rejected romantically by Ms. Le Thi Anh Linh (Mr. My's daughter).

On July 17, 2015, the People's Court of Binh Phuoc province held a mobile trial and sentenced defendants Nguyen Hai Duong and Vu Van Tien to death, and Tran Dinh Thoai to 16 years in prison for two crimes: murder and robbery.

On the afternoon of July 18, the appellate court upheld the original verdict, maintaining the sentences for the defendants.
