Following reports that two children from Xuan Lam commune (formerly Thanh Duong commune, Thanh Chuong district) were suspected of being kidnapped while working part-time in Hanoi, numerous agencies and departments have launched investigations.

On the afternoon of July 6th, urgent pleas from relatives searching for two missing sisters from Xuan Lam commune (Nghe An province) simultaneously appeared on social media. The incident attracted widespread public attention and was shared extensively.

According to information from the family, on the evening of July 3rd, NTH (a 11th-grade student) and her younger sister NTN, residing in Xuan Lam commune (formerly Thanh Duong commune, Thanh Chuong district), asked their family for permission to go to Hanoi to work part-time. However, after taking a bus to Hanoi, the family was unable to contact them.

It's worth noting that the family later received several calls requesting money transfers to bring the children home. The family then received conflicting information, sometimes being told the children had gone to the Nuoc Ngam bus station to return home, and other times being told they were in the former Thai Binh province.

Suspecting their children had been kidnapped, the family posted a plea for help on social media.

Immediately after information about the two children suspected of being kidnapped was widely shared on social media, the Xuan Lam Commune Police reported the matter to the leadership of the Nghe An Provincial Police for guidance. Following this, the Nghe An Provincial Police, along with many local agencies and departments, also got involved, contacting authorities in Hanoi and Hung Yen province (where the children were last known) to request assistance in the search.

Following a strong intervention and coordination from the Hanoi City Police and the Hung Yen Provincial Police, on the night of July 6th, authorities located the children in the former Thai Binh province (now Hung Yen province). Immediately afterward, they were taken to the nearest police station.

According to information from the Xuan Lam Commune Police, the children were brought to Hanoi on the night of July 6th and are expected to be brought home today (July 7th).
