The body of the male student swept away by floodwaters has been found.
(Baonghean.vn) - At noon on October 3rd, authorities in Quy Hop district found the body of NVC (born in 2008), residing in Cong village, Chau Hong commune, after nearly three days of being swept away by floodwaters.
As previously reported, at approximately 1-1:30 AM on October 1st, two students from Quy Hop III High School, NVC (born in 2008) residing in Cong village, Chau Hong commune, and Luong Minh H (born in 2007) residing in Ha Dong hamlet, Chau Cuong commune, were riding electric bicycles from Quy Hop town to Muong Ham village, Chau Cuong commune. When they reached the middle of the Muong Ham bridge, due to heavy rain and strong currents, both students slipped and fell. The electric bicycles and the two students were then swept away by the water. Luong Minh H was fortunate enough to swim to shore, but NVC was swept away by the floodwaters.

Upon receiving the report, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quy Hop District mobilized hundreds of officials and soldiers from the District Military Command, district police, militia, commune teams, and local people to the scene to search for the victim along the stream from Muong Ham Bridge in Chau Cuong commune to Dinh Bridge in Nghia Xuan commune. Over the past few days, the river water level has remained high, making the search operation very difficult for the authorities.
After nearly three days of searching, this afternoon the body of NVC was found by authorities on the banks of the Dinh River, in the section flowing through Lien Tan hamlet, Tho Hop commune, about 10 km from the accident site.
