The pairings for the Round of 16 of the 2020 National Cup have been determined.

At the Ha Tinh stadium, Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club hosted Tay Ninh. As a result, coach Pham Minh Duc's team came from behind to win 2-1. The two goals for the home team were scored by Pham Tuan Hai and Vu Huu Quy respectively.

With this victory, Hong Linh Ha Tinh FC's opponent in the Round of 16 of the National Cup will be Quang Nam FC. This match will take place at 5:00 PM on May 31st at Tam Ky Stadium.

Earlier on May 24th, Song Lam Nghe An easily defeated Binh Dinh FC with a single goal from Nguyen Sy Nam. In the round of 16, the Nghe An team's opponent will be Ba Ria - Vung Tau FC, who surprisingly won 2-1 against Saigon FC. This match will take place at 5:00 PM on May 30th at Vinh Stadium.

In the remaining matches played on May 25th, Viettel FC defeated S. Khanh Hoa 1-0 with the only goal scored by Viet Phong. Hai Phong FC suffered a quick 1-3 defeat against Dong Thap FC, Thanh Hoa FC beat Pho Hien 2-1, Binh Phuoc defeated Dak Lak 2-0, and in the matches on May 23rd, Nam Dinh beat HAGL 2-0 and SHB Da Nang won against Hue 1-0.
