Highlights of the art program "50 Years of Great Victory - 54 Ethnic Groups as One Family"

Tonight, April 19th, the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with Nghia Dan district, will organize an art program to celebrate the Day of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures on April 19th with the theme "50 years of great victory - 54 ethnic groups as one family".

The program features artists and actors.Provincial Traditional Arts CenterThe "Highland Fire" group, a folk song, folk music, folk dance, and gong-playing club of the Tho and Thai ethnic groups in Nghia Lac commune, Nghia Dan district, performed.

The program consists of two chapters, with Chapter 1 titled "The Spirit of the Great Victory of Spring 1975".,Chapter 2 is titled "54 Ethnic Groups as One Family".

Chapter 1 consists of 3 performances, including the song and dance performance "Vietnamese Bamboo," which expresses the indomitable spirit and unwavering will of those who bear Vietnamese blood.

With the heroic spirit of the 50th anniversary of national reunification, the medley of songs "Marching Towards Saigon"; "The Nation's Complete Joy"; "Song of Reunification", and "Spring in Ho Chi Minh City" were selected by the Board of Directors of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center to be performed in Chapter 1, also aiming to express joy, pride, and devotion to the South during the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification.

Chapter 2, "54 Ethnic Groups as One Family," comprises eight performances that vividly portray the unique cultural layers of the Tho, Thai, Mong, and Khmu ethnic groups. In this chapter, the performers from the Provincial Traditional Arts Center, in collaboration with the Gong and Drum Clubs of the Tho and Thai ethnic groups in Nghia Lac commune, Nghia Dan district, present distinctive performances showcasing their respective ethnic cultures.

According to Tran Quoc Chung, Director of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center: “The program, ‘50 Years of Great Victory - 54 Ethnic Groups as One Family,’ commemorates the reunification of the country and reflects the spirit of solidarity among the 54 ethnic groups on the occasion of the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day on April 19th, held in Nghia Dan district. The program promises to bring joy and excitement to the people of all ethnic groups in the province; it is a meaningful musical tribute celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country.”
