Nghe An Provincial People's Council delegates meet voters in Do Luong

Provincial People's Council delegates received and explained many opinions of voters within their authority and synthesized the legitimate opinions of voters to send to the upcoming Provincial People's Council session and sent to relevant levels and branches for consideration and resolution.

On the morning of May 22, the Provincial People's Council delegates including Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Hoang Van Hiep - Chairman of the Do Luong District People's Committee; Tran Dinh Toan - Deputy Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Department and Ms. Hoang Thi Hong Hanh - Secretary of the Trung Son Commune Party Committee met with voters of Dong Son Commune, Do Luong District before the regular mid-year session of 2025, the 18th Provincial People's Council.

Representatives of the Provincial People's Council delegates informed voters about the expected content and agenda of the mid-year session of the Provincial People's Council in 2025, scheduled to take place from July 9-10, 2025. The session will consider 27 reports and is expected to pass 17 important resolutions related to socio-economic development, national defense - security and people's livelihood issues of the province. Provincial People's Council delegates also briefly reported on the socio-economic situation of the province in the first 5 months of 2025 and the results of resolving the petitions of voters of Do Luong district at the end-of-year session in 2024.

In the spirit of democracy and frankness, 9 voters spoke with many practical opinions and recommendations. Voters reflected on the unsafe construction of Trang Minh bridge, which had caused accidents, and requested solutions; proposed support for vulnerable groups and people with incomes below the poverty line; and recommended clear and appropriate policies for part-time and part-time staff.

Many voters suggested that Nghe An province soon build a Universal Incarnation Monument; increase the level of irrigation fee compensation; apply a unified electricity price for water pumping activities of cooperatives; call on enterprises to invest and develop agricultural production chains; pay attention to the budget for the activities of youth unions and associations in blocks and hamlets; strictly handle officials who violate the law; strengthen control of poor quality food; plan and expand Trang Minh road through Dong Son, Hong Son, and Trang Son communes; and increase the compensation level when reclaiming agricultural land.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Council Delegation, Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam and Mr. Hoang Van Hiep directly discussed and clarified a number of issues of concern to voters regarding the arrangement and consolidation of the apparatus of communes after the merger; ensuring the lighting system of the roads; supporting victims in the Trang Minh bridge construction area; social protection policies; building the Universal Cremation Monument; adjusting the level of irrigation fee compensation; ensuring food safety; costs for the activities of grassroots organizations; resolving complaints and denunciations...

Provincial People's Council delegates affirmed that they will fully synthesize voters' legitimate opinions and recommendations to report at the upcoming Provincial People's Council meeting, as well as forward them to competent agencies for consideration and resolution according to regulations.

* On the afternoon of May 22, continuing the program before the regular mid-year session of 2025 of the 18th Provincial People's Council, delegates of the Provincial People's Council including Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Tran Dinh Toan - Deputy Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee and Ms. Hoang Thi Hong Hanh - Secretary of the Trung Son Commune Party Committee had a meeting with voters of Bach Ngoc Commune, Do Luong District.

At the meeting, in a democratic and open atmosphere, 10 voters participated in speaking, reflecting on many urgent issues of people's livelihood. Voters proposed to invest in upgrading the drainage system in Lam Son commune to effectively serve agricultural production; at the same time, they recommended planning and building a domestic wastewater drainage system suitable to local conditions.

Many opinions expressed concern about the serious degradation of traffic routes such as Provincial Road 534 and Lam Giang Road; the prolonged upgrading construction caused congestion, greatly affecting people's travel.

Some voters want to speed up the completion of Bach Ngoc Secondary School to meet the learning needs of their children; propose policies to support people affected by natural disasters and epidemics; some households have had livestock with lumpy skin disease and foot-and-mouth disease since 2019 but have not received support so far.

Some voters suggested strengthening the control of agricultural materials quality and supporting production, because in reality, in some places, rice has no seeds and peanuts have no tubers. Policy issues are also of concern, such as raising allowances for militia and self-defense forces, resolving policies for cadres who used to work at the commune People's Committee, resolving pending records of meritorious people and war invalids...

After listening to voters' opinions and recommendations, representatives of Do Luong District People's Committee, Bach Ngoc Commune People's Committee, and Do Luong District Military Command received and directly responded to a number of issues within their authority.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Council delegates, Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam directly discussed and answered some issues of concern to voters regarding policies for agriculture, farmers and rural areas; payment of benefits to youth unions and associations; handling and repairing degraded roads; payment of benefits to militia and self-defense forces... The remaining recommendations were recorded and compiled by the Provincial People's Council Delegation to report at the upcoming session and forwarded to relevant authorities for consideration and resolution according to regulations.
