Provincial People's Council delegates meet voters in Do Luong and Yen Thanh
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 24, delegates of the 18th Provincial People's Council elected in Do Luong and Yen Thanh districts had a meeting with voters.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Dinh Toan - Deputy Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee announced the expected program and content of the 2nd session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026; reported a summary of the province's socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of 2021, key tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2021; reported the results of voters' opinions and recommendations before and after the 17th session of the 5th Provincial People's Council, term 2016-2021, emphasizing the response of provincial-level functional agencies related to the opinions of voters of Do Luong district.

At the meeting, there were 11 opinions from voters of Hien Son commune related to issues such as: attracting investment for economic development in the commune; Ba Thi dam sluice and valve are damaged; Bau Moi dam in Hien Son and My Son communes needs a bottom discharge system.
Voters also expressed concern about people living in the southern provinces returning to their hometowns in the context of the complicated Covid-19 epidemic situation. In addition, the issues: lack of classrooms at Do Luong 4 High School; need to promptly upgrade and construct the Khuon - Dai Son road; overloaded and oversized vehicles causing frustration for the people; low benefits for youth organizations and associations; social insurance contributions for cooks in kindergartens; health insurance cards for martyrs' daughters-in-law; difficulties in agricultural production in the area due to flooding during heavy rains, poor drainage systems, etc. were also mentioned by voters.

Receiving voters' opinions, representatives of functional agencies and district leaders answered questions within their authority.
Speaking at the meeting, delegate Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, highly appreciated Do Luong district's good performance in investment attraction projects. The district also needs to study and expand channels for both drainage and water retention. In the face of people's concerns about people from the South returning to their hometowns while the Covid-19 epidemic is still complicated, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission said that the authorities will manage very closely, and people need to comply with the "5K" well.
Regarding the issue of the surplus and narrowness of cultural houses after the merger of hamlets, the commune needs to survey new construction sites, submit them to the district for approval, and send them to the province. The upgrading of the Khuon - Dai Son route has been included in the medium-term project. The district People's Committee must urgently appraise the documents so that construction and upgrading can be implemented in early 2022. Regarding environmental treatment, the province has a plan for treatment.
Regarding some issues mentioned by voters, the Provincial People's Council delegates will make recommendations to relevant sectors and make recommendations at the upcoming Provincial People's Council meeting.

At Trung Thanh commune, representatives of the Provincial People's Council delegates informed voters about the socio-economic development, security and defense situation of the province in the first 6 months of 2021; approved the expected agenda of the second session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.

At the meeting, voters of Trung Thanh commune frankly reflected on many existing problems and limitations in the locality in state management of food safety and private pharmaceutical business; Some projects to upgrade the flood drainage system were not suitable, especially in Bau Roc area in Trung Thanh commune; inadequacies in cutting down the number of veterinary positions and commune radio stations.
Voters also requested the Provincial People's Committee to continue to have a mechanism to support cement for building advanced new-style rural communes; consider and support the collection of samples for testing of workers in centralized quarantine, as well as rapid testing for Covid-19 at medical facilities.

In Tho Thanh commune,There were 6 opinions focusing on the following contents: The starting price for rural land auctions is too high; attention to supporting localities to upgrade water plants; policies and regimes for non-professional commune-level cadres after merging hamlets; resolving policies and regimes for people with revolutionary contributions, especially housing support policies for people with revolutionary contributions as stipulated in Decision 22/2013/QD-TTg dated April 26, 2013 of the Prime Minister.

After listening to voters' opinions, Yen Thanh district leaders explained voters' opinions within their authority and proposed a number of solutions for the coming time.
