Representatives of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council meet with voters in various localities.
(Baonghean.vn) - On June 14th, delegates of the Provincial People's Council held meetings with voters in various localities before the 6th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.
* In Nghia Dan districtProvincial People's Council delegates, including Mr. Hoang Phu Hien - Director of the Department of Transport; Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Trang - Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Nghia Dan District People's Council; and Ms. Ha Thi Phuong Thao - Chairwoman of the Nghia Hung Commune Farmers' Association, held a meeting with voters in Nghia Loc and Nghia Tho communes.

During the meeting, provincial People's Council representatives briefed voters from Nghia Loc and Nghia Tho communes on the planned agenda and content of the 6th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council; a summary report on the province's socio-economic development in the first six months of 2022, and key tasks and solutions for the last six months of 2022; and a report on the results of addressing voter and representative requests before, during, and after the 4th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council. Despite the complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the province's economic indicators still met and exceeded targets.
Voters in Nghia Loc and Nghia Tho communes raised issues such as: Upgrading the road from the Nghia Loc commune center to Nghia Khanh; Dong Phu bridge, Hon Mat dam, Ba Nhuong dam; the current process of granting agricultural land use rights to people is still inadequate and behind schedule; requesting more cement for the commune to build new rural areas in the hamlets; and urging all levels to speed up the process of granting land use rights…

After listening to the contributions and suggestions from voters, the leaders of Nghia Dan district responded and clarified some issues within their authority. On behalf of the provincial People's Council representatives, Mr. Hoang Phu Hien - Director of the Department of Transport - thanked the voters of Nghia Loc and Nghia Tho communes for their contributions and acknowledged and addressed some suggestions within his authority. For issues outside his authority, the representatives promised to convey the voters' suggestions and propose them to the provincial People's Council at the upcoming session.

* On the same day, the Provincial People's Council delegates, including Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa - President of the Provincial Women's Union; Ms. Le Thi Kim Chung - Chief of the Provincial Women's Union Office; Mr. Ho Van Dam - Principal of the Vietnam-Korea College of Technology; and the delegates of the 20th term of the District People's Council, held a meeting with voters in the communes of the district.Quynh Luu district.
Voters in Quynh Luu district have raised many opinions and suggestions related to issues such as: requesting the district to balance the budget to support the operating costs of specialized associations and part-time officials in the locality; inadequacies in the issuance of land use right certificates; currently, agricultural production costs are increasing, making farmers less enthusiastic about farming, therefore People's Councils at all levels need to study policies to support the people, in order to reduce the abandonment of farmland; requesting higher authorities to pay attention to the issue of clean water and rural road systems in localities.

Regarding policies and regulations, many voters also expressed concerns about the inadequate support provided to those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic; they requested that higher authorities pay attention to the timely and full payment of support to aquaculture households affected by the floods at the end of 2021. According to the criteria for building new rural areas in the 2021-2026 period, many voters were also worried about the high percentage of poor households according to the new standard. Currently, there is a problem with household waste not being collected and disposed of, affecting the environment; there is a need for policies to support the construction of infrastructure for salt production villages…
