Members of Parliament meet with voters in Quynh Luu district.
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in Quynh Ba commune, Quynh Luu district, have expressed their opinions, suggestions, and proposals related to various aspects of social life to the National Assembly and ministries, departments, and all levels of government.
On the afternoon of April 26th, National Assembly delegates of the 15th term (from constituency No. 3 – Nghe An province), including Mr. Pham Phu Binh - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, Ms. Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien - Standing Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, held a meeting with voters in Quynh Ba commune, Quynh Luu district, before the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly.

At the meeting, on behalf of the National Assembly delegation, Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien – Standing Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union – informed the voters about the expected content and program of the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly and related issues; and announced the results of resolving 8 opinions and recommendations from voters in Quynh Luu district that fall under the jurisdiction of central-level agencies and the Provincial People's Committee, raised during meetings before and after the 4th session of the 15th National Assembly.
After hearing the report, in a democratic and frank spirit, voters in Quynh Ba commune expressed their opinions, suggestions, and proposals related to various aspects of social life to the National Assembly, ministries, departments, and all levels of government.

Voter Ho Trong Toan from Hamlet 3 raised a request regarding Decree 62/2011 of the Prime Minister on the regime and policies for those who participated in the war to defend the Fatherland, performed international duties in Cambodia, and assisted Laos after April 30, 1975, and have since been demobilized or discharged from the army. He asked whether this decree is still in effect, and if not, a definitive answer should be given and the files returned to the people to alleviate their waiting.
Mr. Toan reported that although seven years have passed since the completion of the land survey, many households in the locality have still not been granted land use rights certificates. He requested that higher authorities pay attention to and direct the handling of this issue so that the people can live and work in peace.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Trinh, a voter from Hamlet 4, raised the issue that some war invalids in the locality, who served in the battlefield for 15-17 years and endured all kinds of hardships, receive very little allowance. He requested that the National Assembly direct the competent authorities to assess and approve an increase in their allowances or seniority benefits, or grant them retirement benefits if they meet the criteria. This voter also suggested measures to protect aquatic resources in the fields from the increasing threat of destruction.

Many voters also expressed concerns about the increasing trend of abandoned farmland, therefore, policies at all levels are needed to support and encourage farmers to stay committed to their fields; there is a need to plan for high-quality rice-growing areas geared towards export, increasing the economic value per unit area.
The government needs to focus on building bio-fertilizer production plants to reduce farming costs for farmers at a time when chemical fertilizer prices are high; and create favorable mechanisms for people to convert some areas of low-yield agricultural land to perennial crops.

Voters suggested that the State should pay more attention to healthcare for the people; conduct surveys and reassess the quality of life of the people in communes that have achieved the standards of new rural areas and advanced new rural areas in order to propose specific, long-term solutions to this issue; and propose increasing the allowance for those who worship martyrs and the elderly.
In addition, some opinions expressed concerns about issues related to the shortage of medicines in medical facilities; the handling of public assets and the arrangement of personnel after the merger of administrative units...

After listening to the voters' opinions, Ms. Thai Thi An Chung - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, along with representatives from various departments and agencies and leaders of Quynh Luu district, explained the issues and recommendations within their authority.
For issues that fall outside the representatives' jurisdiction, they will compile a comprehensive report to submit to higher authorities for consideration and resolution, and provide specific answers to voters as soon as possible.
