National Assembly representatives from Nghe An province meet with worker and laborer constituents.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 12th, a thematic meeting between National Assembly representatives and workers and laborers for the year 2024 was held in Dien Chau district.

Attending the conference were delegates of the 15th National Assembly: Ms. Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation of the National Assembly of Nghe An Province; Mr. Hoang Minh Hieu - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Law Committee; Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training; Mr. Tran Nhat Minh - Member of the National Assembly's Law Committee, Standing Delegate of the National Assembly of Nghe An Province; and Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien - Standing Vice President of the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union.
Also attending were representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and units, along with 130 workers and laborers directly employed at businesses in Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, and Do Luong districts.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Nhat Minh, a full-time National Assembly representative from the Nghe An Provincial Delegation, announced the expected content, program, and meeting schedule for the 15th National Assembly in 2024.
The conference serves as a forum for National Assembly delegates to interact with and listen to the thoughts, aspirations, suggestions, and proposals of the people.votersThis includes information about workers, laborers, employment, income, and living conditions, as well as related mechanisms, policies, and regulations. This information is then compiled by National Assembly representatives and reported to the National Assembly and relevant agencies and organizations for further study, consideration, and development, amendment, supplementation, and improvement of policies and laws concerning workers, ensuring feasibility and relevance to reality.

The conference recorded 19 opinions from workers and laborers regarding social insurance, employment policies, occupational safety, labor relations, etc.

Acknowledging the concerns and aspirations of the workers, representatives from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Social Insurance Agency, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Transport, and the Department of Health also provided answers regarding issues such as childcare for workers' children, the arrangement of bus stops, the installation of traffic lights on busy roads used by workers, and childcare arrangements for sick children.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tang Van Luyen, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the Dien Chau District People's Committee, updated the local labor and production situation and expressed concerns regarding the recent strikes and work stoppages in the area. He also addressed concerns and made recommendations to workers, businesses, and relevant provincial departments and agencies.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Minh Hieu, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Law Committee, highly appreciated the working spirit of the delegates, who had clarified issues related to the Social Insurance Law, the Trade Union Law, social housing, cultural institutions, fire prevention and fighting, etc., raised at the conference. Mr. Hoang Minh Hieu also thanked the local leaders and the Provincial Labor Federation for creating favorable conditions for the successful holding of the voter consultation conference.

The program is a key activity ofWorkers' MonthIn 2024, this affirmed the concern and care of the Party, the State, ministries, departments, local Party committees and authorities, and trade unions for workers. At the same time, it contributed to strengthening grassroots democracy and raising the awareness and responsibility of workers in participating in building a socialist rule of law state.


On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Union also presented "Union-sponsored homes" to 5 workers and gave gifts to 30 workers in difficult circumstances, each gift worth 1 million VND.
