National Assembly representatives from Nghe An province meet with voters in Chieu Luu commune.
On the morning of May 7th, at the headquarters of the Chiêu Lưu Commune People's Committee, the National Assembly deputies from Nghe An province, constituency No. 1, including Mr. Hoang Minh Hieu - full-time member of the National Assembly's Law and Justice Committee; Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Trang - member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Justice; and Ms. Lo Thi Bao Vy - teacher at Quynh Lap A Primary School, held a meeting with constituents following the First Session of the 16th National Assembly.

At the conference, National Assembly Deputy Lo Thi Bao Vy briefly informed voters about the outstanding results of the First Session of the 16th National Assembly. Accordingly, the National Assembly passed 9 laws, 5 resolutions, and decided on many important issues regarding socio-economic development for the period 2026-2030.
The delegates also provided information on several issues directly related to people's lives, such as the amended Law on Civil Registration, the Law on Access to Information, the Law on Legal Aid, and policies to reduce fuel taxes to control inflation and stabilize market prices.
In a report summarizing the thoughts and aspirations of the voters, Comrade Cụt Văn Kiếp - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Chiêu Lưu commune - stated that the people highly appreciate the policies on social welfare, infrastructure investment, and the reorganization of the local government apparatus at two levels; at the same time, they expressed their trust in the leadership of the Party, the administration of the government, and the effectiveness of practical social welfare policies such as the "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" program and caring for the lives of ethnic minority communities.
However, voters remain concerned about the impact of natural disasters and floods on production and livelihoods, and have requested the early placement of officials from mass organizations and officials to directly receive applications in the former Bao Thang commune, in order to facilitate travel and administrative transactions for the people.
During the discussion, 15 voters represented their constituents in delivering speeches, reflecting on many pressing social issues. Voters requested that the State prioritize investment in constructing bridges across Khe Pón, Khe Sam, and Khe Tiêu; upgrading inter-village roads and roads leading to production areas; building embankments to prevent landslides along the Nậm Mộ River; expediting the Piêng Xẹt resettlement area; and ensuring safe operation of the Khe Nằn hydropower plant.
Many opinions also suggested prioritizing investment in domestic water supply systems, electricity grids, telecommunication base stations, solar-powered streetlights, and the repair of irrigation works to serve the lives and production of the people.
In the areas of land, forestry, and environment, voters requested the early completion of demarcation of forest land boundaries transferred to commune management; financial support and equipment for forest protection and fire prevention; correction of errors on land use right certificates; and the construction of centralized waste disposal sites to protect the rural environment.
Regarding social welfare and livelihoods, voters proposed continued housing support for poor and near-poor households; prompt disbursement of housing assistance funds and allowances for village and hamlet officials; and support for plant and animal breeds to develop the economy and achieve sustainable poverty reduction. In addition, voters also requested greater attention to education and healthcare, improved public health care, better student management, and support for cultural and sports activities at the grassroots level.
Representatives from the Departments of Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Interior, and Industry and Trade directly explained and answered many issues within their jurisdiction that voters were concerned about, focusing on issues related to staffing and remuneration for commune-level officials and non-specialized staff; upgrading and repairing transportation infrastructure, bridges, and roads leading to production areas; resettlement work, demarcation of forest land and production land boundaries; land records and issuance of land use right certificates; centralized waste treatment; support for suitable plant and animal breeds according to local conditions; investment in clean water systems; electricity supply and solar power; hydropower water release procedures, damage caused by water release, and other socio-economic issues in Chieu Luu commune.
On behalf of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, National Assembly Deputy Hoang Thi Thu Trang acknowledged and clarified several issues of concern to voters; she also requested the commune to review and categorize investment projects specifically, focusing on which projects the locality can proactively implement, which projects require the mobilization of social resources, and to select key projects for the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to recommend to competent authorities for consideration and investment support, such as the pedestrian bridge across Xieng Thu village, Bao Thang commune, the Pieng Xet resettlement area, and the telecommunications system in the area.
The delegates also requested that the Department of Agriculture and Environment promptly complete the demarcation of forest land; that localities compile a list of inadequacies in policies supporting seedlings and livestock that are not suitable for actual conditions; that attention be paid to resolving policies supporting people affected by hydropower dam flood releases; that consideration be given to recruiting and supplementing staff at the commune level; that obstacles related to administrative penalties for delays in issuing citizen identification cards be addressed; and that efforts be intensified to attract businesses to invest in order to create jobs for local people.
The delegates affirmed that all legitimate opinions and suggestions from voters in Chieu Luu commune will be compiled by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and forwarded to the National Assembly, the Government, and relevant agencies for timely consideration and resolution.
