National Assembly representatives from Nghe An province meet with voters in Mon Son commune.

Attending the conference were National Assembly delegates: Hoang Minh Hieu - Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Law and Justice; Hoang Thi Thu Trang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Justice; Lo Thi Bao Vy - Teacher at Quynh Lap A Primary School. Also attending were representatives from the Departments of Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, and Home Affairs, along with a large number of voters and people in the commune.

At the conference, National Assembly delegate Hoang Minh Hieu informed voters about the outstanding results of the first session of the 16th National Assembly, which passed 9 laws and 5 normative resolutions aimed at removing difficulties and promoting socio-economic development. Many important policies directly impacting people's lives were passed by the National Assembly, such as salary reform, decentralization of civil registration, tax exemptions and reductions to support people and businesses, and policies for ethnic minority and mountainous regions. Notably, the amended Law on Civil Registration facilitates administrative procedures for citizens; the amended Law on Legal Aid expands the scope of those eligible for free assistance; and the Resolution on the Development of Vietnamese Culture contributes to preserving and promoting cultural identity in conjunction with community tourism development.

In a democratic and frank atmosphere, 14 voters from Mon Son commune spoke up, making suggestions on various issues related to transportation infrastructure, irrigation, social welfare, and personnel management.

Voters requested attention to investing in embankment projects to prevent landslides in vulnerable areas; surveying and constructing a pedestrian suspension bridge across the Giang River connecting Bac Son and Nam Son; investing in and upgrading roads leading to the core area of ​​Pu Mat National Park and inter-village transportation routes to facilitate travel, economic development, and community tourism. Voters also requested prompt repair of irrigation works damaged by floods; and continued completion of projects at the Vi Van Khang Memorial Site.

Regarding policies and regulations, voters requested support for building and repairing houses for poor and near-poor households; expediting the payment of compensation for the destruction of pigs due to African swine fever; paying attention to policies for demobilized soldiers; and addressing the issue of delayed payment of social welfare benefits.

Regarding administrative reform and personnel management, the People's Committee of Mon Son commune reflected on the shortcomings in the operation of the online public service system, which puts pressure on grassroots officials; they also requested an increase in commune-level staffing, the maintenance of allowances for officials of mass organizations, and appropriate policies for semi-professional staff after the merger. Voters also requested the acceleration of the issuance of land use right certificates to people, including the Dan Lai ethnic group; the early issuance of guidelines for the establishment of specialized associations at the commune level; and the updating of Dan Lai ethnic information in the population database.

After listening to the opinions, representatives from the People's Committee of Mon Son commune and the Departments of Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, and Home Affairs directly explained many issues within their authority, such as the payment of support for African swine fever; upgrading and restoring the historical site of Mr. Vi Van Khang; constructing embankments to prevent landslides; issuing land use right certificates; allocating land and forests; expanding residential land for people; handling the waste dump at the overflow bridge area; investing in roads and bridges for the people; supplementing the shortage of officials and civil servants; the regime for part-time officials; and the arrangement of associations. Representatives from the departments also stated that the province's investment resources are limited and requested the locality to review and prioritize urgent projects to compile and propose them in order of priority.

On behalf of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, National Assembly representative Hoang Thi Thu Trang acknowledged, accepted, and highly appreciated the heartfelt and practical opinions of the voters and the Mon Son commune government. Regarding transportation and irrigation projects, the representative requested the locality to review and specifically categorize projects under the commune's investment responsibility, projects proposed for provincial funding, and projects that can mobilize social resources. At the same time, she requested the locality to address the delay in paying social welfare allowances; promptly resolve obstacles in granting land use rights certificates to 16 Dan Lai ethnic minority households; and continue to review, simplify procedures, and shorten the processing time for administrative procedures.

The provincial National Assembly delegation will compile all the voters' recommendations and forward them to the National Assembly, the Government, central ministries and agencies, and competent authorities for consideration and resolution in the near future.
