Texas electors would rather resign than vote for Trump.
Republican Electoral College member Art Sisneros of Texas said he would rather resign than vote for Donald Trump.
Speaking to Politico earlier, Sisneros said his conscience was tormented when he considered whether or not to vote for Donald Trump on December 19th.

In a blog post, Sisneros stated that the core function of the Electoral College system has been "corrupted" and "collapsed." Sisneros also argued that Donald Trump is not fit to be President of the United States.
"If Mr. Trump is not qualified, then my role as an elector is to cast my vote according to my conscience, and both morally and historically, I cannot and will not vote for Donald Trump as President," Sisneros wrote.
Mr. Sisneros also stated that he would resign to avoid having to vote for Mr. Trump.
Recently, CNN reported that Donald Trump won 16 electoral votes in the state of Michigan.
Donald Trump won a total of 306 electoral votes, while Hillary Clinton only won 232. However, if the popular vote is counted, Hillary Clinton received more than 2 million more votes than Trump.
Immediately after Trump's election victory, many people called on electors to be "unfaithful," not to vote for Trump. Currently, two Republican and six Democratic electors have declared they will not vote for Trump.
However, Trump has 74 more electoral votes than Clinton, so these 8 votes from 'disloyal' voters are not expected to change the fact that Trump will be inaugurated as President of the United States on January 20, 2017.
