In the swimsuit competition of the top 16, the contestants did not perform in alphabetical order like in other competitions. Therefore, Nam Em performed in the middle group. The Miss Mekong Delta 2015 confidently and radiantly strode across the stage. She is 1.73 m tall with measurements of 85-60-90.
Before the final, Nguyen Le Nam Em was predicted to be in the top 8. Her achievements included two silver medals in the talent and evening gown competitions, along with the Miss Photogenic award.

The top 5 contestants were highly rated, including representatives from Venezuela, Sweden, the United States, Australia, and Denmark. Meanwhile, other contestants from the Asian region such as the Philippines, Indonesia, and Myanmar were not included in the ranking.
According to the beauty pageant website Missosology, Venezuelan beauty Stephanie de Zorzi is the most anticipated contestant this year. She was chosen to compete in Miss Earth 2014 but was disqualified at the last minute due to weight gain.
The Top 8 were announced immediately after the evening gown competition, and included beauties from Vietnam, Venezuela, Russia, Sweden, the United States, Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador.
Nam Em was the first contestant to answer the question. She encountered a slight problem because her interpreter didn't understand the question, forcing the MC to repeat it.
However, she remained calm and replied briefly in Vietnamese: "The ability to create change comes from always striving your best, believing in what you have done and achieved."
After the Q&A round, the two MCs announced the top 4: Ecuador, Brazil, Venezuela, and Colombia. Nguyen Le Nam Em did not have the opportunity to advance further in the competition.
With her skillful answers during the Q&A session, the representative from Ecuador was crowned Miss Earth 2016. Katherine Espin, 23 years old, is 1.72 m tall and her measurements are 89-60-93.
Other titles won at Miss Earth 2016 included Miss Fire: Brazil, Miss Water: Venezuela, Miss Air: Colombia.
