First Congress of the Party Committee of Tay Hieu Ward, term 2025 - 2030
On the morning of August 1st, the Party Committee of Tay Hieu ward, Nghe An province, held its first delegate congress for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending and directing the Congress were Comrade Hoang Phu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of several provincial departments and agencies. The Congress was attended by 225 official delegates.
Tay Hieu Ward (formed by merging three wards/communes of the former Thai Hoa town: Quang Tien Ward, Tay Hieu Commune, and Nghia Tien Commune) has a natural area of 43.96 km² and a population of 24,698 people. The ward's Party Committee has 48 grassroots Party organizations with 1,718 Party members.
During the 2020-2025 term, the merged localities, forming Tay Hieu ward, have undergone a strong transformation, achieving many outstanding accomplishments in various fields: economy, culture and education, social welfare, and Party building. Economic growth has been stable, and the economic structure has shifted rationally. The average economic growth rate is 8.05% per year, and average income has reached 62 million VND per person per year. Significant progress has been made in the construction of advanced new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
The Party Congress of Tay Hieu Ward, for the term 2025-2030, has the theme: "Unity - Innovation - Creativity - Breakthrough Development; Building Tay Hieu into a driving urban center of the Northwest Nghe An region."
The resolution of the ward Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term sets the target of an average economic growth rate of 11-12%; average per capita income (by 2030) of 95-105 million VND/year; and a 12% annual increase in state budget revenue in the area (reaching 100-110 billion VND by 2030).
In their presentations at the Congress, delegates clarified the achievements made and analyzed solutions for implementing the resolution's objectives in the new term. This process focused on digital transformation, administrative procedure reform, enhancing investment attraction, and urban development.
In his address to the congress, Comrade Hoang Phu Hien, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and praised the achievements of Tay Hieu ward.
Entering a new term, in order to build Tay Hieu into a driving urban center of the Northwest Nghe An region, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Tay Hieu ward Party Committee needs to clearly define its long-term vision, redesign the spatial structure, urban development drivers, and breakthrough solutions for the entire term.
During the implementation process, it is necessary to accelerate the transformation of the growth model, restructure the economy to suit local realities; and strictly manage land use planning, urban planning, and construction order.
At the same time, we will closely coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to promote high-quality human resources; and continue to strengthen the Party and the political system, making it robust, streamlined, efficient, and effective.
