The 12th Congress of the Party Committee of Military Region 4, term 2025-2030

Attending and directing the congress were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; and leaders of the General Staff and General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Attending the congress, on the Central Party delegation side, there were comrades of the Party Central Committee: Le Quang Tung - Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, General Secretary, Head of the National Assembly Office; Thai Thanh Quy - Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee; Hoang Trung Dung - Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine.

On the side of the leaders of the provinces and cities, there were comrades: Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Le Truong Luu - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee; Le Ngoc Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duy Lam - Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee.

Comprehensive completion of 10 key tasks

The 12th Congress of the Party Committee of Military Region 4, term 2025-2030, took place with the motto:“Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development”and topic:"Promoting the tradition of the heroic Military Region 4, building a clean and strong Party organization, a lean, strong and elite armed force of the Military Region; solid defense of the Military Region, strong national defense, contributing to the successful implementation of the task of building and firmly protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland".

The Congress unanimously assessed that in the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of Military Region 4, in coordination with the Party Committees and authorities of provinces and cities, led and directed the comprehensive completion of 10 key tasks set out in the Resolution of the 11th Military Region Party Congress.

The national defense is increasingly strong, the defense strength of Military Regions and local defense areas continues to be consolidated and strengthened.

The overall strength, level and combat readiness of the Military Region's armed forces have been improved to meet mission requirements in the new situation.

The quality of training, education - training, formal construction, and discipline training achieved good results; attention was paid to ensuring logistics - technology, finance, foreign defense, production - business, economic - defense activities.

The Military Region's armed forces actively work with the people to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, build new rural areas, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, prevent epidemics, build a strong local political base, and a solid position in the hearts of the people.

There are many breakthrough policies and solutions to build a strong Party Committee of the Military Region in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres, leadership capacity and fighting strength are enhanced, leading the armed forces of the Military Region to successfully complete assigned tasks.

Complete tasks well in all situations

Speaking at the Congress, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense acknowledged, highly appreciated and warmly commended the achievements of the Party Committee and armed forces of Military Region 4 during the past term.

In the coming term, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai requested the Party Committee of Military Region 4 to continue to thoroughly grasp the resolutions and directives of the Party and the Central Military Commission.

At the same time, closely follow and forecast the situation, and perform well the advisory function with the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on local military and defense tasks.

Focus on leadership and promote the core role in building all-people national defense, all-people national defense posture associated with strong people's security posture.

Improve the overall quality and combat strength of the Military Region's armed forces, build a strong, high-quality reserve force, and a strong, widespread militia and self-defense force.

The leadership builds a strong, exemplary, and representative armed force in the Military Region in terms of politics, ideology, and ethics, as a basis for improving overall quality, enhancing combat strength, and completing tasks well in all situations.

Carry out well the work of defense diplomacy; lead the building of a strong Party organization in the Military Region in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres, and excellently complete the tasks.

During the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of Military Region 4 identified three breakthroughs: Building a strong, compact, and elite armed force in the Military Region; building strong local military agencies at all levels to meet the requirements and tasks of the new situation.

Improve the quality of training, education and training; build discipline and management; promote the cultural value of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in Uncle Ho's homeland; Promote digital transformation and application of science and technology.

The Congress elected the Party Executive Committee of Military Region 4 for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 19 comrades.
