The 20th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, for the term 2025-2030, concluded successfully.
On the morning of October 3rd, the 20th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, for the 2025-2030 term, continued its third day of work.
During the Congress session, delegates elected three alternate delegates to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The three alternate delegates are: Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union; Hoang Van Bo - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quynh Luu commune; and Tran Khanh Thuc - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Next, the delegates continued to discuss and contribute ideas to the documents for the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
The discussions focused on several solutions to support business development and create momentum for the province's economic growth.
In addition, delegates focused on discussing solutions for preserving and promoting traditional values and shaping national cultural identity in the new era in Nghe An province; tasks and solutions to develop "green, clean, beautiful, friendly, prosperous, civilized, and modern" coastal tourism and make it a key economic sector creating momentum for socio-economic development.
The Congress heard a summary report of opinions contributing to the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party; the draft report summarizing some theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented reform work in Vietnam over the past 40 years; and the draft report summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter and proposals and directions for supplementing and amending the Party Charter.

The Congress also heard a summary report of the discussions on the Political Report, the Review Report of the Executive Committee of the 14th term, and the Draft Action Program for implementing the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress.
At the Congress, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the Presidium, presented flowers and commemorative gifts, respectfully acknowledging the dedication, enthusiasm, affection, and responsibility of the 7 comrades who were not re-elected to the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; the 12 former members of the Provincial Party Committee who retired or retired early during the 2020-2025 term; and the 10 former members of the Provincial Party Committee who transferred to positions outside the Party organization during the 2020-2025 term.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh emphasized that the important and comprehensive achievements in many fields during the past term were made possible with the active and responsible contributions of the members of the Provincial Party Committee and the members of the Standing Committee of the 19th Provincial Party Committee.
The Congress unanimously voted to adopt the Resolution and agreed with the draft Action Program to implement the Congress Resolution, with groundbreaking goals, targets, and tasks, demonstrating the great determination of the Party Committee, government, and people of the province in the new term, striving to the highest degree so that by 2030 Nghe An will become a prosperous province, a national-level growth pole in the new era of national development.
In his closing remarks at the Congress, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that the success of the Congress marked an important turning point, demonstrating unity of will, consensus in action, and a new belief and aspiration for development. This is a great spiritual motivation for the entire Party Committee, government, business community, and people of all ethnic groups in the province to work together to successfully implement the Congress Resolution.
The success of the Congress is the result of the attention and guidance of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party, the valuable assistance of the Central Committee of the Party, the National Assembly, the Government, central committees, ministries, branches, political and social organizations, the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 4, and friendly localities towards the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province throughout the past period and during the days of the Congress. The Congress sincerely thanks them for that valuable support and assistance.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung also emphasized that the success of the 20th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee is of great significance in the context of the whole country striving to complete the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, and preparing for the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The political system has undergone revolutionary changes towards streamlining, efficiency, and effectiveness. The two-tiered local government system has officially come into operation, becoming increasingly stable and fulfilling its new roles and responsibilities.
Furthermore, practical realities are also presenting numerous challenges, especially regarding the ability of officials and civil servants at all levels to meet task requirements; the operational mechanisms in the context, space, and demands of new development; and the need for higher levels of initiative, creativity, flexibility, responsibility, pioneering spirit, and exemplary conduct from officials and Party members throughout the Party organization, in order to meet the demands of reality and the increasingly legitimate and high expectations of the people and businesses.
Therefore, immediately after the Congress, it is requested that Party committees, government agencies, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations in the province urgently and seriously organize the study and understanding of the Congress Resolution among all cadres, Party members, and the people, creating high unity in understanding, consensus in will, and decisiveness in action.
Develop and issue timely and high-quality programs, projects, and plans to implement the Congress Resolution, clearly assigning responsibilities, tasks, timelines, authority, resources, and expected results, creating a vibrant atmosphere of emulation right from the beginning of the term.
It is suggested that each delegate attending the Congress should play a key role in disseminating the spirit, will, and determination of the Congress within their respective agencies and units, reaching cadres, Party members, and the general public; and should be exemplary and proactive in implementing the resolutions adopted, contributing to the early implementation of the Congress's resolutions.
Immediately after the Congress, it is requested that leaders of all sectors, organizations, and local authorities and units throughout the province urgently and decisively direct and mobilize all available resources to promptly and comprehensively implement solutions to overcome the severe damage caused by Typhoon No. 10, ensuring that no one goes hungry, no family is left homeless, and that people's lives and all activities related to learning, work, production, business, and socio-economic development are quickly stabilized.
