14th Party Congress: Overseas Vietnamese intellectuals await groundbreaking decisions to drive national development.

We expect the Congress to fully promote the spirit of innovation.

In an interview with the Government Online Newspaper,Professor Nguyen Duc Khuong, CEO of Leonard de Vinci Business School (EMLV, France), and President of AVSE Global, a global network of Vietnamese intellectuals.He shared that, over the past 20 years, one of the things that impressed him most was Vietnam's remarkable progress in international integration in the fields of economics, education, training, and culture. "The country's standing on the international stage has been enhanced, recognized as a peace-loving nation, ready to cooperate harmoniously and build strategic trust with partners."

Professor Nguyen Duc Khuong believes that this favorable context has opened up many opportunities for generations of students and professionals to study, research, and work abroad, becoming effective bridges in international cooperation.

"I expect the 14th Party Congress to fully promote the spirit of creativity and innovation, leading Vietnam into a new stage of development with a focus on improving the quality of life, the quality of growth, perfecting institutions, and empowering localities more strongly."

In particular, according to Professor Nguyen Duc Khuong, priority should be given to investing in education and training, promoting science and technology, and attracting talent to build a high-level knowledge-based economy, as this is the core foundation for the country's aspirations for progress.

Placing people at the center is key to unleashing the power of national unity.

Dr. Tran Phu Thuan, Vice President and General Secretary of the Union of Vietnamese Organizations in the Russian FederationHe affirmed that the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is a political event of special significance for the country and the nation, opening a new era and stage of development. He expressed confidence that, under the leadership of the Party, Vietnam will enter a new era – an era of national progress, with strong advances in high technology and deep international integration.

The Vietnamese community abroad, including the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation, has high expectations that the 14th Party Congress will create breakthroughs in the speed and quality of growth, leading to rapid, strong, and sustainable development; while also continuing to improve the legal system, enhance the investment environment, and effectively utilize the resources of young intellectuals both domestically and internationally.

He expressed his wish that the Party and the State would always place people, both at home and abroad, at the center of their development policies. This would strengthen the trust and solidarity of the national unity bloc in the Party's leadership. "And each individual, overseas Vietnamese, will be determined to contribute their intellect and efforts, steadfast in their love for their homeland and unwavering faith in the Party's leadership, uniting and working together to build a prosperous, beautiful, and strong Vietnam," said Dr. Tran Phu Thuan.

Expecting additional motivation

Dr. Vu Quang Huy, lecturer at the University of Sydney, one of the top eight universities in Australia.It is believed that the 14th Party Congress will shape the vision, aspirations, and development path of the country in the new period, realizing the two centenary goals.

As an economic expert, Dr. Vu Quang Huy expects the 14th Party Congress to be a milestone in establishing a new development vision—one that is long-term, inclusive, and groundbreaking enough to lead Vietnam into a period of high-quality growth amidst global economic uncertainties.

Most importantly, according to Dr. Vu Quang Huy, the Congress will clarify Vietnam's development path to achieve the 2030 goals (100th anniversary of the Party's founding) and further to 2045 (100th anniversary of the nation's founding) by strongly shifting the growth model towards productivity-based growth, innovation, science and technology, and high-quality human resources.

Growth, traditionally based on the "three-horse chariot" of domestic consumption, public investment, and exports, needs new impetus. These three drivers have been and will continue to be crucial, but in the new context, relying solely on expanding capital, labor, and markets will limit the economy's efficiency and sustainability.

Dr. Vu Quang Huy stated that for decades, Australia's growth has not relied solely on the "three pillars" of consumption, investment, and exports, but has been supported by three structural pillars: effectively exploiting comparative advantages associated with resources and high-tech agriculture; strongly developing the knowledge-based services sector, especially education, finance, healthcare, and logistics; and placing productivity, science and technology, and institutional quality at the center of its development strategy.

From an international perspective, Dr. Vu Quang Huy also expects the Congress to present a more proactive and strategic vision for integration, helping Vietnam to better utilize the new generation trade agreements already signed, attract high-quality FDI flows, and strongly develop domestic enterprises to form corporations with regional competitiveness. "A clear, stable, and consistent economic development direction established at the 14th Congress will be an important foundation to strengthen the confidence of the international community and investors in Vietnam's prospects of becoming a high-income developing country in the coming decades," said Dr. Vu Quang Huy.
