On the morning of May 19, the Yen Thanh District Party Congress continued its last working day. The Congress announced the results of the first meeting of the Yen Thanh District Party Executive Committee, term XXVII, 2020-2025.

At the first meeting, the Party Executive Committee of Yen Thanh district elected 13 comrades to the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term. Comrade Nguyen Viet Hung - Secretary of the District Party Committee for the 2015 - 2020 term, Chairman of the District People's Council continued to be elected to hold the position of Secretary of the District Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.

The District Party Executive Committee also elected two Deputy Secretaries of the District Party Committee: Comrade Nguyen Quy Linh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Comrade Phan Van Tuyen - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Danh Tue was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the District Party Committee's Inspection Committee.

Next, the Congress elected 19 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

The Congress also approved the synthesis of discussion opinions and contributions to the documents submitted to the Congress and the draft Action Program to implement the Congress Resolution.

The Congress passed the Resolution of the 27th District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. The Resolution approved the basic contents of the assessment of the 5-year implementation of the Resolution of the 26th District Party Congress and the directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2020-2025 term stated in the political report submitted to the Congress. The Congress resolved on 32 main targets until 2025 in the Resolution.

SOME KEY TARGETS BY 2025

- Average economic growth for 5 years: 9.6-10.6%

- Average income per capita: 75-80 million VND/person/year.

- State budget revenue in the area: 480-500 billion VND.

- Total social investment capital: 15,500 - 16,500 billion VND.

- Regarding new rural areas: 40 - 45% of communes meet the criteria for advanced new rural areas; 3 - 5 communes meet the standards for model new rural areas.

-Annual poverty rate reduction 0.8 - 1.2%.

-90% or more of grassroots Party organizations successfully complete their tasks, of which 20% complete their tasks excellently.

- The Government, the Fatherland Front and the Unions are recognized by superiors as having fulfilled their tasks well or better, of which at least 50% have fulfilled their tasks excellently; the District Party Committee is recognized as having fulfilled its tasks well or better.

The Resolution also approved the Report on reviewing the leadership and direction of the District Party Committee, term XXVI; Approved the report synthesizing the opinions of Party organizations at all levels and people of all walks of life in the district contributing to the draft documents submitted to the 13th National Congress of the Party; Documents of the 19th Provincial Party Congress; Approved the results of the election of the District Party Committee, term XXVII; and the Delegation to attend the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

In his closing speech at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Viet Hung - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council assessed that the 27th Congress of Yen Thanh District Party Committee, term 2020-2025, had successfully completed the contents and programs set out.

The Congress Resolution was passed and affirmed the high political determination of the Party Committee, government and people of the district in the coming term to successfully implement the general goal: Building a clean and strong Party and political system, promoting democracy, strengthening solidarity, promoting innovation, effectively exploiting potential and resources, comprehensively developing the socio-economy, ensuring national defense and security, building advanced and exemplary new rural areas, bringing Yen Thanh to rapid and sustainable development.

According to the Secretary of the Yen Thanh District Party Committee: The success of the Congress is only the first step of the upcoming journey. To complete the goals and tasks set out in the Congress Resolution, immediately after the Congress, Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front, unions and people must organize well the research, dissemination and dissemination of the Resolution and documents of the Congress to every cadre, Party member, union member and every person in the whole district.

At the same time, develop specific programs and action plans to implement the program, quickly bring the Resolution into life, create strong and effective changes in all fields, right from the first months and years of the 5-year plan (2021-2025).
