The 14th National Party Congress is scheduled to take place over seven days, from January 19 to 25, 2026. Delegates will discuss and approve documents and elect the 14th Central Executive Committee.
The Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission said that at the 13th conference, the 13th Party Central Committee discussed, gave profound and comprehensive opinions and reached high consensus on many important contents, including a group of issues on preparations for the 14th Party Congress.

Regarding the Congress's personnel work, based on the results of personnel introductions by Party committees and organizations at all levels and the opinions of appraisal, examination, review, and additional conclusions of functional agencies, the Politburo discussed, comprehensively evaluated, agreed on the list, and took votes to introduce personnel according to regulations.
At the same time, the Politburo also voted to introduce personnel for the 14th Central Inspection Commission (re-election and first participation).
The Politburo reported to the Central Committee for comments on the report on the results and plan to introduce personnel to participate in the 14th Central Executive Committee, participate in the 14th Central Inspection Committee and take a vote to introduce personnel to the 14th Central Executive Committee and the 14th Central Inspection Committee according to regulations.
This is a "particularly important" and "key of the keys" task, the decisive factor for the success of the 14th Party Congress and the country's development in the coming period.
Personnel preparation work must be based on the standards, conditions, structure, and quantity according to the direction of personnel work for the 14th Congress and related regulations; ensure the regular and direct leadership of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Personnel Subcommittee, and the General Secretary - Head of the Personnel Subcommittee of the 14th Party Congress, while closely linking with the plan for assigning, arranging, and introducing personnel to take on leadership positions of the Central Party and State agencies for the 2026-2031 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and localities for the coming term.

The Congress will discuss and approve documents, including 4 Reports: Political Report, Summary Report on a number of theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented renovation process over the past 40 years in Vietnam, Summary Report on 15 years of implementing the Party Charter, and Review Report on the leadership and direction of the 13th Party Central Committee.
The Congress discussed and approved the report on personnel work of the 14th Party Central Committee; and carried out the election process of the 14th Party Central Committee according to the Election Regulations at the 14th Party Congress.
The Party Central Committee determined that the promulgation and good implementation of working regulations and election regulations at the 14th Party Congress is a very important task, contributing to ensuring the success of the Congress.
The Central Committee has reviewed, discussed, and commented on the draft working regulations and draft election regulations at this Congress, ensuring proper implementation of the Party Charter, principles, regulations, and rules of the Party Central Committee; both inheriting and innovating in accordance with the innovation of the Party's leadership and governing methods and practices; proactively preventing and resolutely combating, detecting, stopping, and strictly handling negative and wrongdoings that may occur.
The working regulations of the 14th Congress include 6 chapters and 16 articles, inheriting the content stipulated in 16 articles of the working regulations of the 13th Congress, and at the same time supplementing, amending, and editing some contents to suit reality.
The election regulations at the Congress include 5 chapters and 24 articles (as at the 13th Congress), inheriting the entire content of 18 articles, supplementing and amending some contents in 6 articles of the election regulations at the 13th Congress.
The Central Executive Committee assigned the Politburo to continue studying, absorbing, and perfecting the drafts based on the results of the Central Committee's discussions to submit to the 14th Congress for consideration and decision.
The Central Executive Committee assessed that the draft documents of the 14th Congress had been carefully and meticulously prepared, updated, revised, and supplemented many times, especially the contents that were unanimously approved at the 11th and 12th Central Conferences.
The structure and content of the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress have many innovations, demonstrating the spirit of looking straight at the truth, objectively assessing the situation, on that basis proposing a system of guiding viewpoints, national development goals, orientations, key tasks and breakthrough solutions for rapid and sustainable development of the country, demonstrating the strong aspiration of the whole nation in the new era of development.
