The 14th National Congress of the Party is scheduled to take place over seven days, from January 19 to 25, 2026. Delegates will discuss and approve documents and elect the 14th Central Committee.
According to the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, at its 13th meeting, the 13th Central Committee of the Party discussed, provided in-depth and comprehensive feedback, and reached a high level of consensus on many important issues, including the group of issues related to the preparation for the 14th Party Congress.

A job of "exceptional importance"
Regarding personnel matters for the Congress, based on the results of personnel nominations from Party committees and organizations at all levels, and the opinions, verifications, reviews, and supplementary conclusions of relevant agencies, the Politburo discussed and comprehensively evaluated the list, unanimously agreed on the list, and conducted the nomination process according to regulations.
At the same time, the Politburo also held a vote to nominate personnel for the 14th Central Inspection Committee (both re-elected and first-time members).
The Politburo reports to the Central Committee for comments on the submission regarding the results and plan for nominating personnel to participate in the 14th Central Committee and the 14th Central Inspection Committee, and conducts a vote to nominate personnel for the 14th Central Committee and the 14th Central Inspection Committee in accordance with regulations.
This is a task of "exceptional importance," "the key of keys," and a decisive factor in the success of the 14th Party Congress and the country's development in the coming period.
Personnel preparation must be based on the standards, conditions, structure, and number according to the personnel work guidelines of the 14th Party Congress and related regulations; ensuring the regular and direct leadership of the Central Committee of the Party, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Personnel Subcommittee, and the General Secretary - Head of the Personnel Subcommittee of the 14th Party Congress; and closely linked to the plan for assigning, arranging, and nominating personnel to assume leadership positions in the central agencies of the Party and State for the 2026-2031 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, and localities for the next term.

The 14th National Congress is scheduled to take place over 7 days, from January 19 to 25, 2026. The Congress will discuss and approve documents, including four reports: the Political Report, the Report summarizing some theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented reform process in Vietnam over the past 40 years, the Report summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter, and the Report reviewing the leadership and guidance of the 13th Central Committee of the Party.
The Congress discussed and approved the report on personnel work of the 14th Central Committee of the Party; and carried out the election process for the 14th Central Committee of the Party in accordance with the Election Regulations of the 14th Party Congress.
The Central Committee of the Party determined that the issuance and effective implementation of the working regulations and election regulations at the 14th Party Congress was a very important task, contributing to ensuring the success of the Congress.
The Central Committee has reviewed, discussed, and provided feedback on the draft working regulations and the draft election regulations for this Congress, ensuring compliance with the Party Charter, the principles, regulations, and rules of the Central Committee; both inheriting and innovating in accordance with the renewal of the Party's leadership and governance methods and practical realities; proactively preventing and resolutely fighting against, detecting, preventing, and strictly handling any negative or wrongful actions that may occur.
The Rules of Procedure of the 14th Congress consist of 6 chapters and 16 articles, inheriting the content of the 16 articles in the Rules of Procedure of the 13th Congress, while also supplementing, amending, and editing some content to suit practical realities.
The election regulations at the Congress consist of 5 chapters and 24 articles (the same as at the 13th Congress), inheriting the entire content of 18 articles and supplementing and amending some content in 6 articles of the election regulations at the 13th Congress.
The Central Executive Committee assigned the Politburo, based on the results of the Central Committee's discussions, to continue researching, incorporating, and refining the drafts for submission to the 14th National Congress for consideration and decision.
The Central Committee assessed that the draft documents for the 14th National Congress had been meticulously and thoroughly prepared, updated, revised, and supplemented many times, especially the contents that had been unanimously approved at the 11th and 12th Central Committee meetings.
The structure and content of the draft documents submitted to the 14th Party Congress show many innovations, reflecting the spirit of facing the truth squarely, objectively assessing the situation, and on that basis, proposing a system of guiding viewpoints, national development goals, orientations, key tasks, and breakthrough solutions for rapid and sustainable national development, reflecting the strong aspiration of the entire nation to rise up in the new era of development.
