Congress of the Nghe An Karate Federation for the term 2024 - 2029

Attending the congress were representatives from the Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports; and representatives from Karate associations of neighboring provinces.

The Nghe An Karate Association was established in 2012, with 38 organizational members and 209 individual members.

During the past term, the association has systematized the operation of clubs and martial arts schools by granting licenses to martial arts clubs and schools throughout the province; trained and certified more than 100 coaches who met the required professional standards; organized provincial-level referee training courses and competitions, and introduced highly qualified referees to participate in national-level referee training and competitions.

By the end of its term, the Nghe An Karate Association had more than 20 national-level referees and nearly 100 provincial-level referees, ensuring professional expertise; it organized annual training courses, examinations, and belt conferrals for nearly 800 martial arts students and coaches from first to fifth dan.
Annually, the Nghe An Karate Association organizes numerous tournaments, through which it selects outstanding athletes to introduce to the provincial team; achieving many encouraging results such as participating in the National Karate Cup and contributing to the provincial team winning a Bronze Medal at the National Sports Games.

The association regularly organizes fundraising to support people affected by floods and storms, those in difficult circumstances, and visits and gives gifts to underprivileged children in poor communes; it also collaborates with the Nghe An Buddhist Association to organize a comprehensive martial arts and literature retreat for martial arts students to help them better understand Buddhism and the principles of life.

In the coming term, the Nghe An Karate Association will develop a plan to successfully organize the Nghe An Youth Karate Championship; the Nghe An Strong Karate Clubs Cup; the Nghe An Karate Championship; and request the Department of Culture and Sports to allow the organization of athlete delegations to participate in domestic and international competitions upon invitation.

In addition, the association will coordinate with local authorities to organize charitable programs, support disadvantaged people, those affected by floods and storms, and the elderly living alone; and organize sightseeing and excursion programs to enhance the patriotic spirit of martial arts students.

At the congress, in order to align with development trends, the Nghe An Karate Association decided to change its name to the Nghe An Karate Federation.

At the congress, delegates unanimously elected 19 members to the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Karate Federation. Among them, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan was re-elected as President of the Nghe An Karate Federation.
