Vietnam Television (VTV) wins the A prize for journalism on anti-corruption.
The "Economic Focus" program of the News Department, Vietnam Television, was one of four works awarded the A prize at the 5th National Journalism Awards Ceremony on combating corruption, waste, and negative practices.
VTV was honored for its report on waste management.
On the evening of October 30th, at the 5th National Journalism Awards Ceremony on Combating Corruption, Waste, and Negative Phenomena (2024-2025), the Economic Focus program with the theme "The Paradox of Investing in Waste Treatment with Technology" by the News Department reporters of Vietnam Television (VTV) was honored with the A prize.

The work provided an in-depth analysis of the shortcomings and paradoxes in current regulations, leading to significant waste in waste management. Simultaneously, the program proposed solutions to promote a circular economy, efficient resource reuse, and minimize environmental waste.

Honoring other outstanding journalistic works.
According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the works that won the A prize this year all demonstrated outstanding quality, meticulous investment, and a high level of dedication. Besides the VTV entry, the remaining three A prizes were awarded to the following works:
- A series of 3 articles titled "Veterans persevere in fighting 'internal enemies'"By author Do Phu Tho, published in the Vietnam Veterans Newspaper. This series of articles reflects the pivotal role of veterans in the fight against corruption and negative practices.
- Series of articles "Combating Waste in the Field of Science and Technology"Published on the online auditing newspaper, the work points out shortcomings in the management and use of science and technology funding, leading to many valuable research projects remaining unapplied.
- Seminar "What to do with surplus office space"Broadcast on VOV Traffic, Voice of Vietnam Radio. The program discusses in-depth the current situation and solutions for handling surplus public assets, with the participation of leading experts.

The awards ceremony is a well-deserved recognition of the efforts of journalists and media organizations in contributing to the fight against corruption, waste, and negative practices nationwide.
