VTV won the A prize for journalism on anti-corruption.
The program "Economic Focus" of the News Department, Vietnam Television, is one of four works awarded the A prize at the 5th National Press Awards Ceremony on preventing corruption, waste and negativity.
VTV honored with report on waste treatment
On the evening of October 30, at the 5th National Press Awards Ceremony for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity (2024-2025 period), the Economic Focus program with the theme "Paradox of investing in waste treatment using technology" by a group of reporters from the News Department, Vietnam Television (VTV), was honored with the A prize.

The work has deeply analyzed the shortcomings and paradoxes in current regulations, leading to great waste in waste treatment. At the same time, the program also proposed solutions to promote circular economy, effectively reuse resources and minimize waste to the environment.

Honoring other sharp journalistic works
According to the Organizing Committee’s assessment, the works that won A prizes this year all demonstrated outstanding quality, meticulous investment and high fighting spirit. Besides VTV’s work, the remaining 3 A prizes were awarded to the following works:
- Series of 3 articles "Veterans persistently fight against 'internal invaders'"by author Do Phu Tho, published in the Vietnam Veterans Newspaper. The series of articles reflects the core role of veterans in the fight against corruption and negativity.
- Series of articles "Fighting waste in the field of science and technology"Published in the electronic newspaper Auditing. The work points out the shortcomings in the management and use of science and technology funding, leading to many valuable topics not being applied.
- Discussion "What to do with redundant headquarters"broadcast on VOV Giao thong, Voice of Vietnam. The program discusses in depth the current situation and solutions to handle surplus public assets, with the participation of leading experts.

The award ceremony is a worthy recognition of the efforts of journalists and press agencies in contributing to the fight against corruption, waste and negativity across the country.
