The 'Grand Feast' of the 19th Green Wave: Khac Hung and 'After All' win big.

Winning 3 out of 4 nominations, young musician/music producer Khắc Hưng was the most memorable name of the 2016 Làn Sóng Xanh Awards ceremony, held on January 3rd in Ho Chi Minh City. This was also a major music event that brought together many prominent figures representing the current Vietnamese music market.

The 19th Lan Song Xanh Awards ceremony - 2016 began with a medley of songs including "Ong Ba Anh," "Em Da Biet," "Dem Ngay Xa Em," "Qua Khu Con Lai Gi," "Song Khong Hoi Tiet," and "Vi Toi Con Song," performed by Le Thien Hieu, Suni Ha Linh, Only C, Lou Hoang, Rocker Nguyen, Hoa Minzy, and Minh Nhu.

These young artists are also prominent figures in the Vietnamese music scene in recent times and promise to be names that will create a significant impact on the Vietnamese music market in 2017.

Following this performance, the Top 10 songwriters with favorite songs were announced first, featuring many familiar names: Nguyen Hong Thuan, Do Hieu, Khac Hung, Only C, Phan Le Ai Phuong, Mr. Siro, Pham Toan Thang, Tien Tien, Nguyen Phuc Thach, and Vuong Anh Tu.

This award is given to the songwriter whose song was on the weekly chart of the Green Wave 2016 (from October 26, 2015 to October 15, 2016), as voted by the audience.

The award for "Phenomenal Song" at the Green Wave Awards in 2017 went to "After All" (composed by Khắc Hưng, performed by Erik ST.319).

This was the first time both Khắc Hưng and Erik participated in and won the Green Wave Award. On the awards ceremony stage, both expressed their emotion at being trusted and hoped that the audience and experts would continue to believe in their creative works in 2017.

The program continued with a special performance of ballad medleys: "Just Go Away," "My Heart Also Knows Pain," "The Fault Lies in Love," "Behind a Girl," "After All," performed by Hari Won, Bao Anh, Thanh Duy, Soobin Hoang Son, and Erik.

Rocker Nguyen, a newcomer to the music scene who has only been around for a few months, has already won the Breakthrough Artist Award. He beat three other strong contenders in this category: Le Thien Hieu, Minh Nhu, and Suni Ha Linh.

Trong Hieu with the song "Say ah" and Isaac with the song "Get down" - two male singers nominated for the Most Promising Male Singer award - kicked off the announcement of the Most Promising Male/Female Singer award (selected by the press council based on nominations submitted by the audience).

Hoa Minzy, Bao Anh, Hari Won, Soobin Hoang Son, Trong Hieu, Erik. And the award for Most Promising Male Singer went to Soobin Hoang Son. While the award for Most Promising Female Singer went to Bao Anh.

Ho Ngoc Ha appeared with the song "Sending a Message to My Ex-Lover," preparing for the announcement of the Special Award at the Green Wave Awards. And supermodel Thanh Hang congratulated the team behind Noo Phuoc Thinh's single "Because I love you" for beating Erik's "After All," Hari Won's "Just Go Away," and Ho Ngoc Ha's "Sending a Message to My Ex-Lover" to win this category.
