(Baonghean.vn) - The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that the departments within the Internal Affairs Bloc need to have solutions to ensure security and order for major events in the province; and to expedite the resolution of cases and incidents under the direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

According to the assessment of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, generally speaking, in February 2019, the departments within the bloc implemented their respective tasks, especially the task of ensuring security and order in the area during the 2019 Lunar New Year.
Authorities have deployed forces and measures in a coordinated manner to ensure security and order, promptly preventing and neutralizing plots to incite unrest and disrupt public order. Crimes against social order decreased compared to the previous month and compared to the same period in 2018, and the rate of investigation of crimes against social order reached a high level (83.7%).
During the month, 80 incidents of social disorder occurred in the province, resulting in 2 deaths, 28 injuries, and property damage exceeding 2.8 billion VND. Authorities arrested 93 cases involving 103 individuals for drug-related crimes; detected and apprehended 473 cases involving 531 individuals for economic and environmental crimes and violations; and prosecuted 3 defendants for corruption and abuse of power.

In February 2019, 24 traffic accidents occurred in the area, resulting in 17 deaths and 19 injuries. The province also experienced 7 fires, causing approximately 500 million VND in damage.
The two-level prosecuting authorities have strengthened coordination in the investigation, prosecution, and trial of cases, especially major drug cases. Inspection and supervision work has been actively implemented, promptly detecting and recommending the handling of violations. Market management and the prevention and combating of smuggling and commercial fraud have been effectively implemented by relevant sectors.
However, the security and order situation during the month still had complex incidents related to land buying and encroachment; the illegal trading, transportation, and use of fireworks during the 2019 Lunar New Year continued to occur in many localities throughout the province.

At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department reported on the progress in resolving 14 cases and incidents under the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. Various departments also provided feedback to expedite the resolution of these cases in accordance with the law.
For March 2019, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong requested that all departments strive to ensure security and order during the Investor Meeting. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen supervision, prevention, detection, and handling of cases related to drug crimes, intentional injury, fraud, trafficking in fetuses, smuggling, fire prevention and control, etc. For cases and incidents under the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, departments must expedite the resolution process, avoiding delays that could affect the political security situation in the area.
