Wedding held at the cultural house - many in one!

(Baonghean) - Determining that organizing weddings according to a cultural lifestyle is an important task in building a civilized urban lifestyle, the Party Committee, the government, departments, branches and organizations of the city have organized, directed and propagated to mobilize cadres, party members and people to effectively implement Directive 09-CT/Th.U of the Vinh City Party Committee on promoting the implementation of a civilized lifestyle in weddings. The issue seems small but if successfully implemented, it has many values.

A wedding was held at the Cultural House of Hamlet 12, Hung Loc Commune (Vinh City).

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham and Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh are a couple who responded to the model of wedding at the cultural house very early in Le Loi ward. Although their family's conditions could have organized the wedding at a hotel, responding to the policy of the city, Le Loi ward launched, as civil servants of the ward, she and her husband discussed with both families to organize the wedding at the cultural house model.

“The spacious space of the Cultural House of Block 1 Le Loi allowed friends and relatives to chat, exchange, sing and interact, making their wedding truly warm, joyful and meaningful” – Mr. Tuan Anh said. After their wedding, many other weddings were held at the Cultural House, not only in Block 1 but also in the whole ward and received the support of many people.

Many wedding models following cultural lifestyles have been applied by Vinh city in many forms: "Wedding model with sweet party and wedding announcement", "wedding model without alcohol, beer, cigarettes", "wedding model with few trays"... And the wedding model at the cultural house is a wedding model with practical meaning, both ensuring suitability with the economic life of many families in the city, and limiting the situation of setting up tents encroaching on traffic safety corridors.

In order to build and maintain the model of weddings at cultural houses, in addition to regular propaganda and mobilization work, many wards and communes have carried out initial tasks well, such as: Organizing the signing of commitments for couples when registering for marriage, allocating annual budgets, calling for socialization to invest in building cultural house facilities. Making roofs, building kitchens, drainage systems, investing in loudspeakers... at cultural houses to meet the people's wishes for a solemn, joyful, healthy, compact and cost-saving one.

Every year, the city has 80 to 100 weddings held at the cultural house, with the number of guests ranging from 120 to 300, concentrated in the wards: Truong Thi, Hung Phuc, Quan Bau, Le Loi, Hung Dung...

In addition, the city also does a good job of inspecting and handling violations, detecting, organizing the dismantling and penalizing units and individuals who rent wedding tents, set up tents in the wrong places, and cutting off the title of cultural family for families who violate the village and hamlet conventions. Each year, the city handles over 40 cases of violations, concentrated in the wards of Cua Nam, Hung Binh, Trung Do, Truong Thi, Hong Son, Hung Phuc, etc.

Ms. Le Thi Bich Thao - Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Hung Phuc Ward affirmed that the implementation of weddings according to cultural lifestyle as required by Directive 09 of Vinh City Party Committee has really come into life, has practical significance in orienting the construction of beauty in weddings, and at the same time has practical value for the life of each person and each family. To avoid the situation of setting up tents encroaching on the sidewalks, the ward has a policy to encourage people to organize weddings at the cultural house, the yard of the ward People's Committee, first of all, to mobilize cadres and party members in the committee, from there, to expand to the people in the blocks, in the first 6 months of 2016, the ward had 6 weddings organized at the cultural house.

However, the situation of organizing weddings with many trays, widespread wedding invitations, and not controlling the number of guests is still happening, making weddings still a matter of paying debts by mouth, and wedding models following cultural lifestyles have not really been widely promoted.

Continue to complete and widely disseminate the provisions in the village covenants of the blocks and hamlets so that people know and implement them. Continue to direct the construction and replication of the wedding model at the cultural house and other civilized wedding models. Strictly handle violations of setting up wedding tents encroaching on traffic safety corridors.
