Man stabs girlfriend's mother, causing serious injury, for refusing to allow marriage.

Khang fell in love with a girl from his hometown, but when he asked for her hand in marriage, her family refused. Filled with resentment, after a drinking session, Khang and a friend from Binh Duong returned to his hometown to take revenge on his girlfriend's mother.

On the morning of July 23, the Chau Thanh District Police (Hau Giang Province) announced that they are temporarily detaining Nguyen Vu Khang (23 years old, residing in Tan Phu B2 Hamlet, Tan Phuoc Hung Commune, Phung Hiep District, Hau Giang Province) for investigation into the act of intentionally causing injury.

Two suspects were arrested after committing the crime.

Around March 2017, Khang fell in love with Ms. Le Thi My A. (24 years old, residing in Thuan Hung hamlet, Nga Sau town, Chau Thanh district) and went to Ms. My A.'s family to ask for her hand in marriage. However, the girl's family refused the marriage. Since then, Ms. My A. has proactively ended the relationship and has not contacted Khang anymore.

Harboring resentment, on July 21st, Khang confided in a colleague in Binh Duong named Thach Thanh Binh (19 years old, residing in Phu My hamlet, My Chanh commune, Chau Thanh district, Tra Vinh province).

After hearing the story, the two planned their revenge and immediately set off to find Ms. My A. to carry out their plan. On the way, Khang bought a Thai knife. Upon arriving, the two men drank alcohol and observed the daily life of their girlfriend's family.

At 4:00 AM on July 22nd, Khang spotted Ms. Do Thi Liem (Ms. My A.'s mother) coming out of the rented room. Khang then used a knife he had prepared to stab Ms. Liem multiple times, causing serious injuries.

Immediately afterwards, the locals took Mrs. Liem to the hospital for emergency treatment. The two suspects, after committing the crime, fled, wading across the Cai Dau and Cai Muong rivers to hide. While hiding under a bush nearby, they were apprehended by the Chau Thanh District Police and the Nga Sau Town Police.

After verification, the Chau Thanh District Police allowed the suspect Binh to be released on bail.
