US-Russia negotiations move to Moscow.
Negotiations between the US and Russia aimed at resolving issues in bilateral relations will shift from Istanbul to Moscow. This information was revealed to the state news agency TASS by the new Russian ambassador to Washington, Alexander Darchiev.

"The restoration of Russia-US relations still has a long way to go," Ambassador Darchiev told TASS, adding that rapprochement with Moscow is being slowed down by the so-called American "deep state" and anti-Russian "hawks" in the US Congress.
Darchiev was quoted as saying: "I can confirm that further talks between the delegations will take place in Moscow in the very near future."
The conflict in Ukraine has sparked the biggest confrontation between Moscow and the West since the height of the Cold War. Senior diplomats in both Moscow and Washington told Reuters in 2024 that they could not recall a time when relations had been worse.
The administration of US President Donald Trump views the conflict in Ukraine as a proxy war between the US and Russia, and Trump has repeatedly warned of the risk of it escalating into a world war.
