Men are more likely to die from cancer than women.
Men often ignore symptoms of illness, overlooking even the signs of cancer, and only go to the hospital when the disease has become severe, at which point it is often in a late stage.

According to Health, global statistics show that men are at a higher risk of cancer and, once diagnosed, are more likely to die than women. Experts believe that men often delay seeing a doctor when they experience symptoms of the disease, which is one of the reasons why men are more likely to die from cancer than women.
The UK Cancer Research Society's survey shows that annually in the UK, 179,000 men are diagnosed with cancer, compared to 173,000 women. Scientists have observed fundamental differences between the two sexes when they are diagnosed. A woman, upon discovering a tumor, cannot keep it to herself for long; she quickly shares the information with her family and seeks help from specialists or doctors. Meanwhile, men often ignore their body's signs because they dislike seeing a doctor, even when facing serious problems like cancer. When the disease becomes severe and causes serious symptoms, men only then go to the hospital, often at a late stage, with a shorter life expectancy.
Another study of 2,300 people with 15 different types of cancer also found that the majority of men tend to delay seeing a doctor. This is similar to a recent study published in the British Journal of Cancer which showed that 44% of men with prostate cancer often ignore early symptoms and delay seeking medical attention. This rate is 8% in women with symptoms and signs of breast cancer.
