Parisians open their homes to help tourists take refuge after terrorist attacks
Parisians have used the hashtag #PorteOuverte (The Door is Open) to offer shelter to tourists stranded in the city following the terrorist attacks on the evening of November 13.

Tourists around the world have called the actions of Parisians "humanity in times of need". Online, people used the hashtag PorteOuverte (The Door is Open) to provide shelter for thousands of tourists and civilians stranded in the city after the terrorist attacks on the evening of November 13.
November 13th was known to the world as Black Friday, when terrorism occurred in Paris, France. There were a total of 6 shootings and 3 explosions in Paris, killing more than 150 people and injuring 60. One of the explosions took place near the Stade de France stadium, where a friendly football match between France and Germany was taking place, with the participation of President Francois Hollande.
French President Francois Hollande declared a state of emergency across the country yesterday. He said the army had been called in to support police and ensure there were no further attacks.
